I eat out a lot, especially out to Chinese restaurants but China Inn has to be one of the best chinese restaurants i've been too. it's the most authentic compared to those other places that serve gloopy sauced meals. I recommend the pocket tofu, spicy beef or fish bowls, shredded pork and beef, and the fish soup. The restaurant is very clean and even has an open kitchen.

Pros: food, service, decor

Cons: location

Sad to hear that one reviewer had such a bad experience. I have never heard of anyone else being ill. I have been eating at the china inn for over 6 years. The food is always fresh and delicious. The sauces are always bright and fresh tasting- not like the typical gloppy Chinese food one usually gets elsewhere. The best items to order: salt and pepper calimari, dry-shredded beef, spicy beef bowl (lots of garlic!), walnut shrimp, salt and pepper pork, sauteed snow pea leaves!

Pros: excellent food, clean, friendly

Cons: none that I know of

Yes, the restaurant looks nice. Yes, the decor is pleasing. Yes, the open kitchen looks wonderful and the food is well presented. HOWEVER, please beware. Twice, I or someone in my family have gotten a food-related illness after eating here. Please notice, I'm saying twice. Amazingly, after the first time, we came back again. We thought it was a fluke, and that perhaps it wasn't the food. So, in the spirit of fairness, and since the decor and ambience were nice, we decided to give it another shot. Clearly, our mistake. I have never been compelled to write a negative review, even when the food or service have been below par. In this case, I believe there is the issue of a potential health hazard. There are other good Chinese restaurants in town - just down the street, as a matter of fact. Do yourself and your family a favor and go elsewhere!

Pros: Ambience, decor

Cons: Food, potential health hazard

One of the best Chinese restaurants in all of Atlanta. This restaurant does not resemble your typical, family-owned restaurant in a shopping center. The interior is actually decorated in a simplistic, pleasing manner. There are two different menus, one in Chinese and one in English. Attempt taking a person that can read Chinese fluently. The Chinese menu one obviously has a few items that one would ordinarily not consider eating. However, those dishes are fantastic. In some cases, it may be recommended that you try a dish first before asking what it is. However, for the more conservative, there are numerous dishes that will pleasure your taste buds.

Pros: Food

Cons: Different menus

This restaurant when above and beyond my expectations! First of all, the dining room is very new and comfortable. The fish tanks had beautiful exotic fish on display to add the the relaxing ambiance. Then the food came....wow! Sooo good. We have tried a million Chinese restaurants in Atlanta only to be dissapointed by one aspect or another, but not with this place. We went with the Chinese-American menu with standard Chinese dishes found at most restaurants but the taste was fabulous! You can also order from a menu written in Chinese, as the other Asian customers did, and get authentic Chinese. The prices were great as well. Also, the service was superior. Food brought out quickly, drinks refilled before we knew we were running low, and courteous wait staff rounded out a perfect dining experience. At last, we have found our favorite spot for Chinese!!! See ya later Chin Chin!

Pros: Food, atmosphere, service

Cons: none

This is an excelent Chinese restaurant. I started going here about a year after I moved to Atlanta, and was very dissapointed when it burned down in 2004?. But now that they have fixed everything up the actual dining room is very nice, and the food is excelent. I reccomend the Schezwan boiled beef, chinese style. It is really REALLY spicey but is one of my favorite eating out meals.

Pros: Food, Atmosphere

Finally, a Chinese restaurant -that's not a national chain- which looks good. And, with really great food, too!! This is the Chinese restaurant in Atlanta according to the local Chinese. Only thing is, none of the papers in town will ever know it unless they sent food writers who can read and order in Chinese. For some bizarre reason, this is one of those places with two menus. One in English with standard Chinese take-out staples and one in Chinese with really, really, good stuff. Try anyway to order the diced fish with pine-nuts or the shredded pork with bamboo shoots. Yum!

Pros: food, atmosphere, service

They have recently redone the restaurant and it is now one of the nicer chinese restaurants that I have been to. There is a glass wall that allows diners to watch the cooks prepare the food. They offer american style and authentic style chinese cuisine. The servers messed up on a couple orders, but we did have a group of 8. The servers were very friendly. And by the way, the food is delicious!!

Pros: value, atmosphere, food
