Best Honda service experience ever!
by mugenitr at Citysearch
I took my Honda into their service department because I was overdue for an oil change. I didnt have an appointment, but they took me right in anyways. The other Honda place I use to go to would have made me wait 2 hours at least without an appointment. The service advisor was very nice and extremely professional. The waiting lounge is huge and even has a plasma TV in it. My car was finished in 30 minutes and they even put a cold bottle of water in the cup holder for me. Talk about great service. They gave me a check list of the condition of my tires, brakes, hoses etc. All this included for the price of a simple oil change. I was truely WOWED!
I will be taking my Honda there for now on, especially since they're the only Honda dealershiop inside the perimeter. Great people, great prices, and guarentee their work. Im sold. Highly recommended.
- Pros: Inside the perimeter, nice waiting lounge, friendly people
- Cons: none.
CURRY HONDA: DON"T IGNORE THIS REVIEW LIKE I DID
by lbolley at Citysearch
Please everyone do not ignore the multiple complaints on this site regarding Curry Honda. I saw these, but caved in and took my car in for a simple transmission flush, because of the convenience and location to my work place. BIG MISTAKE.
Seems that the so called pro honda mechanic mistakenly removed the clamp on the radiator hose that connects the hose to the radiator. Consequently, slowly but surely the hose became disconnected from the radiator, and my engine blew as a result. $1250 repair. Obviously Curry Honda is not making the repair..I have found a reputable and honest Honda garage near my house. Curry Honda will never see my car again for anything as simple as an oil change. Of course the manager maintains the mechanic there who did the work has been there for years and would have no reason to even touch the radiator hose. The engine blew about 3 weeks after my transmission flush, and NO ONE had been under the car since. And now I'm paying a $1250 repair...when I thought taking your car in for PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE IS SUPPOSED TO PREVENT THESE THINGS FROM HAPPENING.
NEVER use Curry Honda for anything. 2 years ago when I was shopping for my Honda Fit, I did call them to see if they had any in stock. The salesman I talked to was rude, and that one conversation prompted me to buy the Fit from another dealership.
- Pros: location
- Cons: EVERYTHING ELSE
Oblivious Sales Staff
by hsugear at Citysearch
I look young, but I'm older than you think. That was why I was standing in the lot, in the cold and none of the salesmen came out to greet me.
I walked inside and saw a slew of salesmen standing next to the glass door peering outside, waiting for a customer. I walked around inside and still no one talked to me. I finally went to the receptionist and asked who I would talk to to buy a car. She announced, "Who wants to sell a car?" to the guys nearby. Everyone was extremely quick to turn around - looking for the prospective customer. Everyone had a disappointed look on their face when the saw it was me. I said to the collective, "You guys not excited to sell me a car?"
At the get go, it was a sour experience. They didn't take me seriously. I told the guy the specs of the car I was looking for. He asked me how much I could afford a month - in a condescending sort of way, as if to question my ability to pay. I know when they are trying to figure out my bottom line vs doubting my ability properly budget. Long story short, I asked if they would work with me on a drive out price for $30k for the top of the line accord. He said that would be out of the question. So I told him that there's no point in negotiating any further.
A week later I picked up the 2010 Accord EX-L V6 with NAV at another dealership for $29,850 DRIVE OUT! No trade-ins 1.9% for 3 years and no down payment.
- Pros: Close to my home
- Cons: Salesmen
Incompetence+expensive+non-communicative=Curry Honda
by f3345 at Citysearch
I had a problem with my hybrid vehicle and brought it to Curry, which promptly misdiagnosed the problem. I then drove around with the car for 1 day before it totally broke down. When I brought the car back, they took apart the car to diagnose the problem without my permission, and then claimed that the labor cost to put the car back together to take the car somewhere else would equal the labor cost to fix the car. They have now not fixed the problem twice, charged me more than I would've paid to someone else, and, to top it all off, never called me back promptly to tell me that they were taking the car apart or even what the status of my service call. If you'd like someone to take care of your car, even if it is a hybrid, I would recommend Far East Motor Works, which is an honest company that I have used previously.
- Pros: location
- Cons: Everything else
Would not recommend service center
by mkelly2010 at Citysearch
I did not buy my Honda from Curry Honda so I can't say if it's worth it or not.
It is not worth it to visit their service center. I waited for hours, even though I had an appointment.
I had to call and complain over spam snail-mail. It was one of those terrible scams to "extend" your warranty. They were extremely unpleasant to talk with, talked down to me, even though I was cordial.
would not recommend, please spend your hard earned money elsewhere.
- Cons: waited for hours (had an appointment)
Horrible expereince!!!

DONT EVEN CONSIDER BUYING YOUR NEXT CAR HERE. They are behind your money. First of all, the online specs of their cars are not the actuals. For instance, the online spec may say the car has power doors, power windows etc but the actual car would have manual ones.In a way, you are being lured into going to their dealership. Sales reps try to push you into a deal and not respect your financial constraints as a buyer. The most surprising/wierd thing is you CANNOT take a used car for a pre-purchase inspection. When I asked them if I could take the car for an inspection, it was a flat "no". ???how can you expect a buyer to buy a used car without getting it inspected???!!!!! They told me that I can take the car for an inspection only after signing the sales agreement and making a down payment. After that, I'll have 24 hrs to get the car inspected and get back to them in case of any problems. If there are problems, the money would be returned. Who is going to believe this??? NOBODY WOULD MAKE THE DOWN PAYMENT W/O GETTING THE CAR INSPECTED.
When I pointed out the differences between their online ads and the actuals, the so called sales manager who sits in the glass cubicle tells me to read the "Disclaimer" on their website!!! Nice joke...why dont you advertise your Disclaimers instead of cars???
I've wasted my time and money travelling back and forth to this dealer. I will NEVER step into this dealership again and highly recommend others to look elsewhere if you value your hard earned money.
- Pros: None
- Cons: Sales team
bad service

I went in for a required transmission fluid change. Curry Honda did a transmission flush. I called Honda and they said transmission flushes can cause transmission problems. They do not recommend doing a flush. I usually take my Honda to Ed Voyles Honda and I've never had a problem there.
Curry Honda definitely needs to be a car dealership that goes out of business.
Very happy with my purchase
by sprooth at Citysearch
I would definitely recommend Ron Cunningham, he was an excellent salesman. He was very knowlegable about the car and did not try to rush me or pressure me at all. This was my first car purchase and he went the extra mile to make sure that I comfortable with my purchase and everything was perfect.
The prices at Curry Honda are fair (I bought a fit which are in high demand so I knew I would have to pay MSRP). I was also impressed with the gentleman Jason who did all my paperwork, he did not try to sell me unnecessary policies, he explained what they offered and left it up to me to decide what I wanted with no heavy sales pitch.
- Pros: The salesmen I worked with had a lot of integrity!
Horrible Customer Service! Service Reps are inadequate & unorganized!
by gt0005a at Citysearch
After excellent service at Honda of Hollywood for 5 years, I thought that my experience at Curry Honda would be similar. The service has gotten worst each time I go. My first experience dealt with the Service Manager, Chris. He was very unresponsive and didn't bother to tell me that the part that I paid for (sunroof visor) was now absolete. He does not check his email. Mind you, Chris has gotten a promotion to management.
My second experience involved Brad. He is hard to track down when you're trying to check the status of your vehicle. We played phone tag for an hour. He will write down the other items that need to be fixed on your service report, but doesn't bother to explain them. Brad is also very spacy.
My third experience was the worst. Monday, June 16 I took my car in for an appt to fix the ball joints and fuel induction system (Brad's comments from my previous visit). When I arrived, no one besides the mechanics, even took notice of me. It took 15 minutes for a service rep to even acknowledge me and ask me what I needed. The scheduler put me down for a 1pm appt with Brad. He didn't bother to check...Brad is off on Mondays. So I was stuck with Corey who was out to lunch. I waited 3 hours in the waiting area for them to only tell me that they couldn't do the ball joint work because it was a special order and cost $1000. It took them 3 HOURS to do a fuel induction service (this involves just flushing the fuel system with fluids.). I had to call to check the status of my vehicle while waiting in the waiting area!!!! Art Thorpe puts me on hold. I call back....he states that Corey is busy and has a customer waiting on the other line. I told him, "I'm the other customer!" Corey did not come and update me on my vehicle until I called him and I waited for the car on site!!!
This is the worse service I have ever experienced. Try to find a reputable Honda mechanic that does work on the side. You'll be better off.
- Pros: Location (inside 285)
- Cons: Everything else-service, price, organization, service reps
No service No explanation! What's the problem?
by scorpio1103 at Citysearch
Don't set a reservation for me when you are going to make me come in first thing when you are open and have me waiting for 3 hours long and have done nothing to my car! What is the problem here? I come here for service all the time and feel like you over charged on everything you do here including the simplest thing as an oil change! Wow! my last time here after this one and of course all my honda driver friends will not come here neither! Pathetic service, pathetic service manager who does not return phone calls, and last but not least, pathetic service rep....(you know who you are)!
- Pros: honda's are good cars!
- Cons: Bad service in the service dept.!
Awful service. Got cheated with service and transmission
by DP2073 at Citysearch
Awful service and the reps do not hesitate to lie and charge for things that are not necessary to change during service. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS. You are better of going someplace else saving your hard earned money.
