BEST CHINESE IN ATL!!
by craving4food at Citysearch
This has to be the best chinese food in ATL. I've tried many other restaurants, but this is hands down my favorite. The ingredients are fresh and they have generous portion sizes. The food definitely stands out among all of the generic chinese places! The atmosphere is a little "80's retro" with pink and black decor, however you hardly notice this once you eat the food. The last time we dined here it was packed....and there was a long line of people waiting to sit down, which says a lot since there are so many other food choices in ATL. When the majority of the people dining at a chinese restaurant are actually chinese, this tells you that it MUST be good and authentic!!!
- Pros: Food, Service, Portion sizes, Quality and freshness
- Cons: Ambience is 80's retro
AMAZING!

"BEST" Beef Noodle Soup we ever had, can't find this in NJ. Spicy Chicken w/black bean sauce outstanding. Glad Michael took us there, "THANK YOU" Kong!
The best Chinese food I've found in Atlanta

You should try this restaurant! My wife and I average 4-5 visits a month to Little Szechuan. Although I can't speak to it's Szechuan (or sichuan) authenticity, it's without doubt the best Chinese food I've found here in Atlanta. We've been going to LS for 12 years now. The food's always been top notch and we've always had excellent service (I will admit that there can sometimes be a bit of a language barrier with new wait staff, but they've always bent over backwards for us service wise). That's part of it's charm in my opinion.
Kong Ko is the chef and owner of Little Szechuan and one of the nicest men in Atlanta. Once he knows you, he'll start suggesting new foods for you to try, often things that aren't on LS's already huge menu. Try the fresh Bamboo Shoots when they're in season!
I suppose Little Szechuan's biggest problem is it's very worn decor. I'm quite used to it, but I think it scares first timers, especially those without a sense of adventure. I'm there for the high-quality food, friendly staff and very reasonable prices though, not the decor. That's what Buckhead is for.
- Pros: Food is fantastic!
- Cons: Ambience isn't so great.
Umm, this was a chinese restaurant?

When we walked in, no one greeted us so we wandered toward a table but it was dirty. Finally someone said, "sit here." Then for about 8 min, no one came to the table to bring a menu or introduce themselves as our waitress/waiter. So my boyfriend went to the front and got us a couple of menus. Then after waiting another 10 min we asked for someone to take our order. So we gave our appetizer order to a waitress and then 5 min later a different waitress came over (who didn't speak a lick of English). So we were confused, did the other girl tell this new girl she took our appetizer order? We just ordered our entrees. My boyfriend didn't know what the white sauce was that came with the chicken and broccoli but the waitress also couldn't explain to him what was in it, she just kept saying white sauce. So she was very helpful. He ended up ordering the shrimp w/ lobster sauce and I got the garlic basil chicken. They must have noticed we were disturbed so some random waitress placed a potsticker appetizer on the table. She said "on the house." I tried to ask her a question but she ignored me. We also noticed how the manager was walking and talking to all the regulars but completely skipped the two new patrons. The veggies in his entree were undercooked. We did not take anything home with us and they were clearly upset by this. We couldn't get out of there faster and I was mad we had to pay $47 for a crappy meal.
Best Chinese food in Atlanta

Little Szechaun is by far the best Chinese food one can find in Atlanta. If it's location was better the owner would be a very rich man. The atmosphere calming, the service is good, but the food is unforgettable. You have nothing to lose by trying it. The prices are reasonable and the portions are huge. I have been there multiple times and never been dissapointed. I recommend the orange peel beef; it is out of this world. If you are in the mood for chinese food, you would be doing yourself a great diservice by not trying this restaraunt.
- Pros: The best Chinese food I've ever had, and one of the best meals I've ever had!
- Cons: The location is a small drawback, but that's only because I live in the city limits of Atlanta.
Salt & Pepper Squid!!
by dermerob at Citysearch
This place is a good choice for several reasons. 1) Salt & Pepper Squid is sooo good. 2) lots of menu choices that are different from the normal chinese offering here. 3) they go an extra step beyond most restaurants. For example, even if you are just getting take out, the owner will often put extra/free menu items in your bag. I always find an order of potstickers and dipping sauce or egg rolls when I open the bag at home.
Not a Sichuan restaurant!

Anyone here who says this is authentic sichuan(no not szechuan) food has either never been to sichuan restaurants in China, or id a Chinese who is starved for Chinese food in Atlanta(where 99% of Chinese food is 100% no resemblance to food in China).
This restaurant would bankrupt quickly in China.....Is it better than other Chinese in Atlanta with their "Chicken Chow Mein and Mongolian beef(by the way these arent served in China)...maybe....
Fact of the matter its sub par, and if it really is a top Chinese restaurant in Atlanta, that says lots for Chinese food here.....and its more like Guangdong or Cantonese food anyway....NOT sichuan food....
- Pros: well, its better than other poor Chinese in Atlanta
- Cons: Its not at all like real sichuan food...Ive lived in chengdu, wife is CHinese...we know
GREAT FOOD, GREAT SERVICE!
by ami354 at Citysearch
The food is delicious and provides friendly service! I want to make a correction on Foodyjenn15's comments, in fact the restaurant is not an open kitchen, how can she see what's going on inside? Foodyjenn15 was rude and not credible on saying that. She knew Buford Highway in general is unsafe (in actuality that's not true) why she did she even drive her new car there? I will still come back and recommend my friends to eat at one of the Best Top 100 Chinese Restaurants Hand-picked by Martin Yan: Little Szechuan!
- Pros: EVERYTHING!
- Cons: NONE!
BEST Chinese Restaurant
by _juicy at Citysearch
I am Chinese, and it's hard to find a good, authentic Chinese restaurant. I am really amazed at the great taste and the authenticity of the food. I first went there a month ago with my mother, and we have been going there every week since! If I could, I would eat there every day! I love the free green beans they give you as a bonus, oh, the desert is even better, makes me feel like home again. I would definitely recommend it to everyone.
Doraville strip mall cafe serves spicy Chinese food that's worth a drive.

The Scene
A modest presence amid the check-cashing stands, herbalists, and western-wear outlets of Buford Highway, this smallish storefront is a popular draw both with locals and intown foodies. Inside, the decor runs to the bizarre (black lacquer, hypothermia mauve), but it's a comfortable place all the same.
The Food
Widely considered one of the city's better Chinese restaurants, this cafe's easygoing approach to cuisine makes intimidating dishes appealing and familiar dishes exceptional. Small dishes of spicy soybean sprouts and chunks of pickled radish arrive before you order. Cold jellyfish salad is vinegary and sweet. Crispy half-moon pot stickers with a soy dipping sauce are perfectly fried. Chinese long beans and sizzling beef brisket are signature dishes, and shredded pork with slivers of onion and hot peppers in hot garlic sauce is exceptional.
