Let's face it. Laseter's has its issues. Though Smyrna's not a college town by any means, the bar attracts its fair share of irritiating college-minded (read: people who are no longer in college but still act like they are) patrons. BUT...overall it's a great local place, with cheap pitchers and trivia several nights a week. The food is good for bar fare and I've never had any complications with tabs or waitstaff that couldn't be corrected. Recommended.

Small town type bar atmosphere is nice, but it does get very crowded and smokey. Twice there have been issues with them putting other peoples drinks on the tab and being very reluctant to take them off when pointing out the mistake. A little more control of the crowd and smoke, and structure with the billing, and the place could be fun.

Made the mistake of going the night of the UGA/VT bowl game. Bar was full of smoke and patrons were stumbling around drunk while shouting expletives at anything and everything. Observed several patron/wait-staff collisions that could be avoided if the bartender cut people off before they were completely inebriated. Ordered the grouper fingers as an appetizer and they were swimming in cooking oil and grease. The waitress failed to come back and check on us or offer us more drinks. The half-rack of ribs were soaked in sauce to cover up the small amount of tough meat. Had a coupon from a reputable online restaurant coupon and review site, and the manager wouldn't honor it because he said he "couldn't validate it." We asked him why and he said "I don't know, I just can't validate it." Poor experience all together.
Pros: Location
Cons: Food. Service. Clientele. Management.

Laseter's Tavern is one of the easiest going sports bars I have ever been to. The staff was super friendly, the food was good with a reasonable price, and most importantly, there wasn't a bad seat in the house. There are so many televisions in the bar, that no matter where you sit, you can easily see several televisions.
Pros: Televisions everywhere you look
Cons: Always crowded, but I haven't had to wait for a seat yet.

We were looking for somewhere not to obnoxious to have a drink and we found it! In our neighborhood, late night hours, it is perfect. Michelle waited on us at the bar and she was so sweet and friendly, the swiss mushroom burger was perfect, my husbands steak ceaser has him beging to go back for another! The atmosphere is great, they have dart boards and pool tables, and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. And the best part..the prices were excellent! We will go back to Laseters again, and again!
Pros: Inexpensive, Friendly Staff, Good Music on Jukebox
Cons: Small Bathrooms

Great food and a fantastic place to catch the games on weekends. In young, growing, trendy Vinings, its nice to have a place to go that's been there awhile!
Pros: Food, atmosphere, service

A magnet for the Vinings business crowd at lunch, Laseter's offers dependable lunch-joint standards (burgers, chicken tenders, onion rings) in a friendly and spacious restaurant-bar setting. Service is friendly and efficient, although it lags in direct proportion to the number of seats filled. A side game room adds sports-bar ambience, while the central bar exudes a Cheers-style warmth. The decor is clean and comfortable, and prized window seats ratchet up the atmospheric quotient. A good meeting place.
Pros: Good for Biz-Lunchers
Cons: Crowds easily
