BAIT AND SWITCH SCAM
by Seneedra at Citysearch
They lied to us and used every trick in the book to convince my disabled mother and I to get the $10,000 pool. Then they called and said we were approved for the $15,000 pool and we were stuck with it or pay a 50% restock fee and 25% cancelation fee. They gave us fake discounts for being a "showcase home", for signing up NOW, for paying so much down, and they spent FOUR HOURS convincing us to BUY. Everytime we said no we cannot afford it, they salesman called the head office again and gave us ANOTHER fake discount to get us to buy. The salesman would NOT leave and take NO for an answer. Do NOT even call these people and tell them where you live!!!! You want the $399 pool and you end up with the $15,000 pool and then they threaten to take your home if you cannot pay!
- Pros: NOTHING PRO
- Cons: THEY LIE< STEAL<TAKE YOUR HOME
Blue World Pool, a NO GO!

I worked for the company. It is indeed a scam, please read why: I was released, not because I did anything wrong, because it was late in the season, and they did not have the materials for me to perform my job.
The thing that appeals the most to someone whom may desire employment there, is that it's independent contract, so you (we) are responsible for our taxes, therefore leaving us with more money on each payment. As well as it's like a real chill relaxed enviroment.
HOWEVER those of us that work and have a heart...at least I do, not sure if there are any others, I knew it was a scam, and talking on the phone with those of you that got scammed, made me feel horrible. Because they will ignore your calls like some of you have written here, they will send you around the whole darn company and will tell you "I'm not authorized," or "he/she isn't in, I will have them call you back," even if they are in and are swamped.
The company does work, they do a lot of work, but it's corrupt, twisted, and a big big headache and a possiblity of losing your home and bloody hard earned money to a company that doesn't care.
BEST PART: The president of the company is a very caring, honest, sweet man, but he doesn't know all of the things that go on in the company. Half of the files we had from our department didn't make it to him.
So PLEASE, PLEASE be wise about chosing a pool. Don't go this route, if you already did, CANCEL CANCEL CANCEL. Call 100 times a day, and WAIT on the phone. Have patience and butter them up on the phone UNTIL you get to the person you need. Trust the others when they write to tell you, and trust me, you will save yourself so much headache, profainity from being spoken and so much time and more importantly money if you cancel or just completely stay clear!
- Pros: There are NONE
- Cons: Too many

Scam Company but this information might help some of you

It appears that this company has screwing hard working people out of their hard earned money down to a T. so here is some information that hopefully will help some of you out.
First, if you are in day 1 or 2 of meeting with a salesman and want to cancel you need to type up a letter addressing it to the company. read your paperwork, it is clearly printed in there where to send the cancellation letter to. I met with the salesman on a Sunday, tried calling finance on Monday, and again Tuesday. Was told the typical 'I am not authorized to handle your cancellation but I will have the person who is call you back' This is where they get you. Ignore what they say type up your letter and get your happy rear to the post office by the end of day 2. pay the 16.00 to overnight the letter to the address in the paperwork where it says to send it. some have said they sent the letter to the companys home office in GA. Doing that can screw you in the end as the paperwork you signed clearly states the procedure. With that said, now that you have sent the letter overnight you can track it through the usps website and you can also get signature verification. Print this information out and keep for your records. **you can also do this on day 3 as long as it is postmarked within the 3 days** and yes every state in the US has the 3 BUSINESS days (if you agree to get a pool on Friday you by law have until that following Wednesday to get it cancelled) contract cancellation policy.
Second, place a stop payment on your check. The stop payment is good for 6 months. Your bank will ask the reason (I think this gets sent to the company along with the returned check) you simply tell your bank that it is because you have cancelled your contract within the 3 day alloted time.
Total cost for cancellation... around $40
Money saved in the long term (including Interest) aprox $30,000 The ripple effect this would have on the company if everyone was able to do this PRICELESS
The worst Customer service I have ever had any dealings with.

Me and my wife was going to get a pool for Blue World Pools. The total price was going to be $15,000. This is what the rep told us. After he left the called and to us that the payment would be 391.00 a month for 120 months. This it 49.000 dollars. The must be crazy!!! The told us that we had 3 day to cancell. The thing is no one will talk to you. If you do not cancell in 3 day the will make you pay 30-50% of the total price. They will put a lean on your house. DO NOT DO ANY BUSSINESS WITH THEM.
