Great Buffet by Melissa L. at InsiderPages

Chat Patti is a great place to grab lunch/dinner to go. Most of the food is vegetarian (or at least it was on the day I visited) so there is something for everyone to try. The only downside is that there are no descriptions of what each item on the buffet is so you need to bring someone who has been before you or be prepared to ask a lot of questions...totally worth it either way!

The hardest thing about Chat Patti is that it's in the same strip mall as several other delicious restaurants, so we don't go often enough. However, when we do, we're never disappointed.
be careful all indian restaurants are rated 4 or more on 5

There is no Indian restaurant that does not have a 4 / 4.5 star review. Pl be careful. We are an unethical breed of people and inflate our ratings. Least realising that all indian restaurants end up being 4.5 on 5. Pl use word of mouth and personal discretion to visit all of these restaurants.
I wish health and happiness in yr experimentation with food.
Great Indian food for those who enjoy authentic spice

This place is fantastic for a quick afternoon lunch with a friend. Come to Chat Patti for the food and disregard the fast food style of atmosphere. You can get a nice Masala Chai and wonderful snacks. Whether you are in the mood for some Samosa and Masala Chai or a combination plate, the food served in styrofoam is a wonderful delight. I know the place is good, because I am typically the only American there.
- Pros: Yummy and flavorful Indian delights and great Masala Chai, Inexpensive
- Cons: no complaints

Abundant vegetarian flavors make for a fiery, affordable South Indian feast at a storefront cafe.

The Scene
Nestled between an exotic fabric store and Taj Mahal Imports grocery in the predominantly South Asian Briarcliff Shopping Center, this modest space betrays little of its bounty at its cafeteria assembly-line counter. The menu isn't translated, but you can peek at the offerings and the father and daughter proprietors warmly explain and recommend dishes.
The Food
Potatoes, jalapenos, lentils and chickpeas saturate the meat-free menu. Like marketplace stand snacks, the fried offerings are nice for sharing, and they're not too greasy. Order the vegetarian thali for an assortment of foods, including curried and cucumber soups and vegetable stew, best scooped up with puri--rounds of fluffed, fried wheat bread. Bhel puri mixes puffed rice, potatoes, hot chilies, sweet chutney and cilantro. Dhosa are savory potato, onion and chutney-stuffed crepes. Mango Lassi, a blended yogurt drink is refreshing and try sweetened wheat flour and pistachio yogurt cheese balls for dessert.
love it

Great for pani puri, and snacks. I also think their Thali is smoking! Everything is authentically spiced and they don't hold back the flava'! This place should replace every Waffle House in the south!
- Pros: Food, The Spice, Super Casual
- Cons: Needs to be 24/7, I can't eat it all
