Starts out fine but ends up feeling like any other service dept - shady

I'm actually here at the service waiting area now, using their free wireless internet - and I've been here since 7:45 am (it's 12:30pm right now). I'm about to pay $590 for services, including a $240 mass airflow issue that they supposedly fixed 2 years ago. Over the past two years, I've tried to stick to them, on recommendations from my friend, but naturally my gut feeling has pretty much won out while I've been sitting here. In the past few hours I've witnessed "fuel injection cleaning, throttle body service, intake carbon buildup" repairs being offered to two different people and spoken very quickly, as if it's just technical jargon that you should just say "yes" to. Far more likely that this is a less common service that is pushed on people to make them pay more (Google tells me yes). I tried to sidestep that by mentioning what I thought the problem was (mass airflow sensor), and I'm still probably being ripped off. My guess is that 75% of what they want you to do is probably a good idea, and the other 25% are just marginal things that should be done far less frequently than they are telling you.
So yeah, I know it's tough, but keep looking for a 100% reputable place...
- Pros: Nice waiting room and amenities
- Cons: I just wish they didn't cost $600.
Poor customer service practices

Spoke with Moses on the phone and he said they had the base model I was looking for. (I already knew from their website that they did not, but thought perhaps they had a new shipment come in.) When I arrived, I looked around the lot and didn't see any of the base vehicle I was looking for. Finally Moses shows up and brings me a vehicle equipped with $2500 worth of options I did not want. Then offered me a ridiculous amount for my trade. He wanted my trade plus $15,000.00 and wouldn't negotiate. I ended up going to a Toyota dealership across town and got an even more expensively equipped car for my trade plus $7000.00 OUT THE DOOR!!! Stay away from Sandy Springs Toyota unless you have money burning a hole in your pocket!!
- Pros: Had plenty of expensive cars
- Cons: Poor business practice and no negotiations!

Wanted to buy 4 runner from my sales guy fabian spoke with him about a 4runner the day before my appmt. He asured me about the price and features on the 4runner.Well when I came in not only was the vehicle a different price but it did not have the features I was told it had.My salesperson fabian then looked at me with a stupid grin an said ok I lied just to get you to come in thats what I'm trained to do.So of course Ithen stormed out and went to nearby World Toyota and purchased preowned 4 runner.
- Pros: Liars
- Cons: Con artist
Dishonest sales

we were ready to pay cash for a prius this weekend and had done our homework. The salesman we had an appointment with was very late. After ironing out details we went home, then finalized the price on phone the next day, with all the minute details. He said the paperwork was being drawn up, to come buy our new car, but when we arrived he said the car was gone. That is typical in the business perhaps, but his treatment was anything but: he tried to get us to buy cars that were 2K more and refused to honor the initial agreement. Still, what was most disconcerting was his extreme aggression towards us. He was aloof, rude and extremely unprofessional.I'm happy to say we marched right over to World Toyota, found a respectful and straightforward salesperson, and now are happy owners of a prius. I would never treat customers the way they do. Also, expect to wait!!!!
- Pros: big, lots of cars
- Cons: terrible services, bait and switch sales

awful service. i have had numerous bad experiences here. they also always try and upsell you when you bring your car in for something as simple as an oil change. i'm here now, and their customer restroom is disgusting! the smell is making me gag, not to mention the back of the toilet seat is off, newspapers everywhere, hairs and urine all over the seat???!!!

Service department will mislead you

I moved to Atlanta in 2008. I have a 2007 Camry. In January of 2009 I took my car in for an oil change. I was told that my tires needed to be replaced. Now, I had only about 23,000 miles on my car. One of the tires did, in fact, have a "bubble" on it but I was told that all four tires needed to be replaced because it was cold...blah blah blah. I was pressured into this by the service department and ended up paying $600.00 when I went in for an oil change. I went back for another oil change several months later and was told it was time for my 30,000 mile tune up. If I wanted to keep it under warranty I needed to get this done. To the tune of another $500.00. My car is 2 years old and I've already spent $1,100.00 on it. Every time I've gone in they have "suggested" other work that needs to be done on my car. BEWARE!!!
They are the liars!

One of their shameless liar is Axel Aragon. I was planning to buy a Solara convertible. Knowing that the vehicle is rare now as Toyota had decided to discontinue the model, I emailed Sandy Springs Toyota asking if there is one in their lot. Axel answered my emailed and also called me later, saying that they have a couple of them and would like to sell me at a price level that I requested. I asked him about the details of the vehicle such as miles on it as well as the VIN. He refused to give me the information and insisted in me to come to visit to make a deal. So I agreed to come next day to have a test drive and he promised me to have a great experience. He even asked me what color I prefered so he could have the car ready to me. However, when I arrived there on the appointment time, Axel let me wait for 20 minutes before showing up for a quick hi, and passing me to another agent, and then disapperd. After waiting for another 20 minutes for the new agent to get ready, I was told that they did not have any solara convertibles, not even a used one! Basically, they just wanted me to come over to see other alternatives! Thanks for the "great" experience.
