Not only does OK Cafe have great food, but it has huge servings. All your favorites, except made better than you possibly could do it.
- Pros: lots of food
- Cons: wait, but worth the wait

I appreciated the quantity and quality of the food. Plenty to take home and at a price that didn't break the bank. $30 for a couple...at their quality is unheard of.
The staff was very pleasant. I enjoyed their attention to detail.
- Pros: Great quality and quantiy, friendly service
- Cons: loud
Mmm, mmm, good southern with a twist

The parking is not good, the wait is not good, the service is not even that good, but the food is tasty! The sweet potato chips are delicious - get two orders and a sweet tea and you're set! The food is southern in nature but slightly off-center to appeal to those looking for something different. OK Cafe is OK by us!
- Pros: The Sweet Potato Chips Rock
- Cons: The service doesn't rock and the wait can be eternal

This Cafe is much more than your normal cafe. This is a great restaurant for social and business lunches during the day and then fine dining at night. The O.K. has been serving Atlanta for over 20 years and really caters to all type of crowds while serving up the best in Southern hospitality. For an average dinner you'll drop $30 per couple. I recommend their Weekend Brunch.
Great Diggs in Atlanta, OK Cafe

Hey!!! You got to check this place out. I found this is a one of a kind place in Buckhead. Apparently everyone in Atlanta has found it cause it was packed.
Walking in, your greeted with a blast of Souther aroma and an atmosphere where "Everything's OK!" I enjoyed a plate packed with fresh veggies, with NO MEAT, as I am a vegetarian; I'm greatfull for that! My guest however devoured Country Fried Steak accompanied by two veggies. Dessert, one was enough; there are plenty of selections to satisfy every taste....ice cream, banana royal, chocolate, coconut and carrot cake...pies....shakes... The service was gracious and attentive.
Check this place out! It will be worth your while.
- Cons: Loud when busy

BEWARE if you have food allergies

I have been to OK Cafe many times but never previously ordered anything fried. I am allergic to shellfish so when I sat down and saw the list of proclamations of quality food which included:
No MSG
Bread baked fresh daily
Organic Meet only
Eggs Prepared Fresh
Only Canola Oil used in frying
Only Olive Oil used in cooking
I was reassured I would have no problem making a simple request that my french fries be cooked in oil not used for shellfish. WRONG...VERY WRONG. I was informed they have one big vat in which anything fried in the restaurant is place - shellfish, french fries, fish, vegetables..everything and they would not be able to grant my request.
I was shocked to be sure. This is not a greasy spoon. Desptie it's down home cooking atmosphere..it is pricey. Yet, they throw everything you ordered fried into the same vat of oil. YUCK. If any of you are vegetarians, I am afraid ordering a vegetable platter isn't going to do you much good if any of the vegetables are fried. And..if you are like me and have an allergy to shellfish WATCH OUT!
Great food

No matter what time of day you go here there is always a wait, but there is good reason for that. There service and food are excellent. I think the longest we waited is 25 minutes, so it is not too bad. The wait staff is very friendly and the restaurants decor is a mix of country and urban.
For breakfast we love the omelette and the pancakes are huge so be ready. For dinner we like to get the chilli and split a vegetable plate or roast.
The only complaint is whatever you order it seems to take some time to arrive, but it is worth it.
- Pros: Great food
- Cons: Long wait

I have been to the OK Cafe about 3 times and the food was excellent! However, the last time I was there both the Meatloaf and the Pot Roast was horrible. The Meatloaf that use to have a meaty and hearty texture tasted like it had too many fillers and not enough meat. The Pot Roast was dry, stringy and tough. I don't know whether or not they have new cooks, but compared to my visits before this, I was surprised and very disappointed. Especially so, because I had raved about it so much to my friends and brought a guest with me. She said she never wanted to go back.
Ok Cafe: For the sake of customers like me, who love to cook and know what good food is suppose to taste like, STEP IT UP!
um... let me see!
