Pricier Than Has To Be

If you're dying to have designer shoes, this store is fine. If you want attractive quality shoes, this is overpriced.
- Pros: variety
- Cons: expensive
A cavernous discount store with more than 30,000 pairs of men's, women's and children's shoes.

In Short
With new merchandise arriving every week, DSW offers aisles and aisles of name-brand shoes (Kenneth Cole, Franco Sarto, Nike) that are 25 to 50 percent off the original retail price. Shoes are organized by style--not lumped together by designer--allowing you to compare cost, fit and quality all at once. Bargain hunters head straight for the clearance racks, where shoes are marked an additional 30 to 70 percent off.

I have been to many shoe stores, but DSW is the best that I have shopped. Their Rewards program alone is worth it. Whenever I visit, I always say, "I am just going to buy ONE pair of shoes. Well you know what, I NEVER, EVER, leave DSW with one pair of shoes. Their coupon program is good as well. They send you coupons that can be use with your purchase or for your purchase save sales tax. If you cannot find what you are looking for in one trip and you have multiple coupons (for birthdays, good customer, new store opening) you can use them together-no fuss. If you love compliments, buy shoes at DSW.

My visits to DSW have been hit/miss too. It's still worth the trip if you're looking for basics or a bizarre color that has never been seen in real life either. Wear shoes that you can get in/out of easily.
- Pros: selection of "basics", variety, open all week

I Love DSW, every chance that I get to visit Georgia, I make sure I visit DSW Shoe Warehouse. I have family in Atlanta and if I have a lay over or a conference there, I would call the family to say hi but I would visit a DSW. We need you here in SEATTLE/TACOMA area!!!
Not my favorite discount store
by erinbehan_citysearch at Citysearch
DSW has a huge variety of shoes, but I never find anything I like. When you're looking for discount shoes, you always have to settle for last year's styles, but DSW seems to stock the year before last year's style. I'd rather pay the extra $10 or $15 and get shoes that'll last through the end of this season.
