A Nice Alternative
by tyneshad at Citysearch
This is a rather pricey, high-end spot not far from my very favorite mall on Earth. I suppose when I want a change of scenery I'll browse around this place a bit. I've become rather fond of the food court here, and the candy shoppe. The chocolate in there is divine.
Forget Rodeo Drive, & Fifth Ave.!

I've been shopping here since the destination opened, with only Sak's, Lord & Taylor, and a group of Atlanta's best hometown merchants. Lord &Taylor, Snootey-Hootey, and others are long gone, and with The Peasant Uptown, gone also for lunch. Today, it could be Beverly Hills, Fifth Ave. or any other power shopping destination. And still some of the best associates in the city waiting to help you with that special need. Saks has done a complete makeover, wow! Specialty boutiques throughout the hot-pink neon store. Nordstrom has come on board, with a chic little "Cafe Bistro" overlooking Peachtree, for a quick nosh, and a glass of vino. I love Armani Exchange, Gucci, Georgio Armani, oh man!, Mednikow Jewelers, and casual wear at Tommy Bahama. If you got the gelt, and can't find it here, you do not know what you want. Let me be your personal shopper, and I will gladly show you! Cocktails and small plates at Twist, will complete the venture.
- Pros: Sak's, Armani, Nordstrom
- Cons: Not Enough Time & Credit Card Limit's!

I love this mall. Hugo Boss, Gucci, Armani, and Saks. What else could you ask for when shopping? Just looking is so much fun. My girlfriends and I can spend hours here.
- Pros: atmosphere, great location
Nice mall with Rude employees

I recently went to Phips Plaza, mostly browsing since I don't have an extra $3000 to spend on a tiny green plush purse (I'm not kidding) but the stores were really nice, and I enjoyed looking at everything. However, the employees, mainly in Bebe were extremely rude.
- Pros: nice stores, variety
- Cons: pricey, rude cashiers
Sophisticated shoppers give their credit cards a workout at these high-end specialty shops.

In Short
Phipps Plaza's expensive stores complement the mall's marble floors, glass elevators and elegant winding staircase. On weekends, moviegoers line up at the popular 14-screen theater to catch the latest blockbuster flick. Top stores include Lord & Taylor, Parisian and Saks Fifth Avenue. Other favorites here are Bob Ellis Shoes, Jeffrey, Armani Exchange, Versace, Gucci, Tiffany & Co., Niketown and Discovery Channel.
Posh and Upscale

When I moved to Atlanta I was afraid that there would not be any place to suit my tastes. I found that I was wrong once I discovered Phipps Plaza. The mall is a luxury hot spot with stores like Gucci, Tiffany and Company, and Versace. This truly is Atlanta's exclusive uptown high class shopping destination. And what better place for a mall like Phipps Plaza tha Buckhead, Atlanta's upscale district of fantastic shopping, dining, and clubbing.
