Very Friendly

I was visiting from Mississippi and Tripps was recommended by a friend of mine. Had a great time, stiff drinks, cute guys and will return in a few weeks. Just a local neighborhood bar and alot of fun.

This kitschy house party is one of the best little neighborhood bars in Atlanta.

The Scene
Friendly bartenders work the room, playing host to regulars and fresh-faced newcomers chatting about the latest happenings. Guests sip cocktails at the bar under the glow of a disco ball, or play darts and pinball in the small game room in the back of the converted house. Scattered wooden tables topped with cut-glass ashtrays, fireplaces with deco mirrors, and a saloon-door bathroom are all decorative treasures, as is the Marilyn Monroe paraphernalia that dots the walls.

The Draw
Friendly regulars--cute guys in T-shirts and jeans and a more established neighborhood crowd--welcome the uninitiated. The music is entertaining, especially kitschy country ballads played at top volume on Thursday nights. Once a month, three-piece band "Amber Taylor and her Trashy Trio" fills the house with fun pop ditties.
