LOVE THEM

I have had the absolute best service possible and wouldn't want to change companies for the world. If you ever need a management company they are the ones to have.
- Pros: Always gets it handled
- Cons: NONE
The best property management company in Atlanta
by Chelmony at Citysearch
After trying Heritage and Community One, this company was a breath of fresh air. What a wonderful property management company. I own two properties that are managed by this same company. Thanks CMA!!
- Pros: Great Service!!
CMA taking over the neighborhood!
by VexedCitizen at Citysearch
Who is running your neighborhood; Is it your Board of Directors or is it CMA? The management company is to assist in the day to day operations of the association. CMA is controlling our BOD, squeezing out members who ask too many questions, firing contracted vendors to bring in their own, controlling committee meetings- Board meetings and Section Representatives.
All correspondence is filtered through CMA: emails & phone calls. Our website is now updated by CMA and they have control of the content. They are keeping the BOD in the dark by having this much control. If and when they leave our neighborhood all information that was sent to their data base will be a loss to our community.
We have had CMA in our community for a short time and have had a number of Property Managers, family members of those to assist & now a resident in our management office. There have been accounts of confidential information leaking from the management office without consequence.
CMA is not entirely to blame, the BOD needs to wake up and take back our community.
CMA is making decissions for their own interest and not the best interest of our neighborhood.
I question the tactics that were used to get rid of certain BOD members, the ones who were actually doing their job as board members. CMA was in jeopardy of losing this account if those members were still in office. I have to wonder, when those BOD members left did our Property Manager get a bonus for "saving" the account?
This is why CMA is trying to keep control of the BOD. They think as long as they do so they will keep the account.
Anyone interested in a BOD position in our neighborhood & who is an "action" person better watch out... you will be removed too.
I would not go as far to say that they are liars, cheating, underhanded... I feel that they are in way over their heads.
They have ceratin people (not all) who are good Property Managers, but they don't know how to manage their employees. Some of the family members at CMA who are in managing positions are not qualified. Just because you serve the time by working at CMA for so many years or because you have the same last name DOES NOT qualify you! CMA needs to freshen up on their simple business skills and practice them.
I am very concerned with their accounting practices. With reviews I have read and knowing that our BOD can't get accurate accounting reports either.
I hope that for the sake of our community CMA will be replaced soon & I hope that who ever reads this takes into account the information before you consider CMA to manage your property.
I have served my community in many differnt levels & have enough knowledge to know that this is not the right Management company for this community.
- Pros: They are one of the cheapest Management Companies in Atlanta
- Cons: You get what you pay for.
Terrible company.
by Determined11 at Citysearch
This corporation is the most twisted and unprofessional I have EVER dealt with. When you call them they call you back 5 minutes before their offices are to close and hang up on the first ring. When you call them back guess what? The office is closed. I am tired of this I'm getting a lawyer and if any one is interested on being apart of a case against these people let me know.
These are not isolated incidents and I am going to make sure something comes of this other than ranting on a message board.
- Pros: None
- Cons: everything you expect to go wrong will.
The worst management company in Atlanta!!!!!
by Fuze at Citysearch
What a sad excuse for a property management company. Never return emails or phone calls I have had to write countless emails before getting an answer back and then to top it off the retarded property manager didn't even answer my questions so here I am on email number 20 something trying to get a simple question answered!!!!! And come on this is the 21 century everyone gets email on their cell phone so it shouldn’t take 7 days to reply to a simple questions what the hell are we paying 300 dollars a month for????
- Pros: Nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Cons: Oh where do I start

CMA's onsite manager stole money from a community, when it was caught, the BOD fired CMA. Dan Henning kept the manager and now she is a portfolio manager.
Ask Dan Henning how many people came and went in the last 24 months. He is only loyal to his family members who lie and cheat through the nose. He is a d..g a..ct and he gets his d..gs from his step son.

AWFUL CMA and Dennis Hoffman ....Worst Customer Service / Property Managment EVER !!!!
by Highland0834 at Citysearch
In 2006 I became a happy resident and home owner at the Highland Properties. However, In September of 2007 I returned home from vacation to see that my ( backyard) tree was dead along with poor landscaping. In the following weeks I spoke with one of the onsite gardeners who stated it would be best to take the tree. The gardener I spoke with assured me that there would be a replacement tree planted . Weeks following the removal I questioned the gardener about the replacement; He stated ? speak to Miguel? while providing me with a contact number. Miguel looked at the yard and agreed that some form of landscaping should be done and suggested that I contact Dennis Hoffman to discuss the issue, which was the beginning of failed responses and failed attempts of an amicable resolution.
Over the past fifteen months (September 2007-January2009), Dennis suggested that my promised replacement tree and minimal landscaping could not be fulfilled due to the following ?reasons?:
A water drought in Georgia (I?ve attached a list of drought tolerant trees)
The continuance of post planting upkeep (thats what WE pay the gardner for)
Board Approval (still waiting)
My several failed attempts to resolve this matter with Dennis Hoffman has not only left me disappointed with management, but disappointed in the manner my many request to fix my embarrassing, empty yard of mulch have been disregarded. Dennis Hoffman has neglected to resolve this issue within the last 15 months.
I've also attempted to contact Dan Henning (CEO) to resolve the issue. Still, NO resolve.
While the "Board Members" seem to concern themselves with parking , speeding and dog sh*t rather than the real issues.
I am beyond angry, insulted, frustrated, and ready to take legal action.
Anyone interested in using this company, should quickly become UN-INTERESTED ! !
- Pros: NONE
- Cons: EVERYTHING ABOUT CMA IS A CON !!!
These Clowns are an absolute joke
by TigerinGA at Citysearch
Our community still does not have chairs by its pool. Everytime you bring this up to them, a week later they get back to you to tell you that they have no money. They also do absolutely nothing to control access to the pool. Every teenager within 10 miles of our neighborhood has the access code. When we bring this up to them and ask to switch over to a key lock and send keys out to only those who paid, they give us the same old "we have no money" excuse. Poor collections, in their mind, is the responsibility of their customers, not theirs. Their answer to this problem was to increase fees. Can you believe this? Since they failed to do their jobs, they are increasing the fees to help cover for those that do not pay.
- Pros: They are good at cashing checks.
- Cons: Awful. They really do not know that their customers are the boss.
CMA FIGHTS FIRE MARSHAL
by maxwell1 at Citysearch
This is the most frustrating management company I have ever dealt with. They simply do not answer the phone. They have wrongly advised my HOA BOD to not keep the Fire systems inspected or working. They have told my BOD that it is a residential building. It is not, it is a special commercial code, "Place of Assembly". The sprinklers have not been inspected in 4 years or more. The exit light bulbs are burnt out. The emergency lights don't work. The batteries are dead. The fire extinguishers are tagged for their last inspection date of 1999. And then they had their attorney call the Fire Marshal to stop the inspection. If our insurer in basis they cost on the fact that we have all these items working we could have not insurance coverage if something happened. Imagine a claim the was so big that the HOA ran out of money to pay. Because we all own a share in the building as condo owners, we would all have to pay. The smoke detectors in the furnaces are willfully disconnected. The furnaces would spread the fire and smoke, that why they have an alarm built into them. But the ducts are so full of mold and dirt the alarms go off. So guess who just disconnects them? The gutters empty out onto the building. CMA says they inspect. How can you miss a 3 foot wide patch on green mold at the front door? We have mold because of roof leaks. I could go on for hours. I would not reccomend this company to my enemy. Even the alarm system is disconnected. What kind of lousy advise are they giving the BOD? Isn't good form to inform the BOD of their responsibilty to the neighborhood? Aren't we paying them to be the Professional?
- Pros: None
- Cons: Lousy service, misinformation, bad attitude
IT TOOK AN INVESTIGATION BY THE GA REAL ESTATE COMMISSION TO MAKE CMA CHANGE THEIR ACCOUNTING PRACTICE
by harrassedhomeowner at Citysearch
As mentioned in all of the other reviews on this web site about CMA (and am I glad I found it)
CMA is an absolute homeowner's nightmare. Not only does the property manager, Deborah Giggi, not return phone calls, she also refuses to even look at the account ledgers to see whether they are inaccurate or not. HOWEVER, she loves to send out "dunning" letters to homeowners.
Since our community is comprised of a lot of ethnic groups, in order to protect everyone's interests since English is their second language and they are probably clueless as to what the covenants mean, I had the GA Real Estate Commission investigate CMA's accounting practices. Within 1 month, we got a notice that CMA had changed accounting servicing companies. So at least once FORCED by the State Governing Entity they will take action.
Over zealous Board members who have never been on a Board in their life (one of them has never owned a home until now), "hide" behind DG to try and control people in the community. They are nit picking, harrassing "little people" who have no other life than to stick their "pinnochio noses" in other people's business and wreak havoc.
There are homeowners in this community who have not painted their doors since they moved in 8-10 years ago yet NOTHING is said or done to them. In addition, several of them put their garbage on
the street on Sunday when the pickup day is Wednesday. One of them does this right under one of the busy body Board member's pinnochio nose and it continues to happen week after week BUT I was
sent several letters telling me to paint my door and to stop putting my garbage out early to which I complied.
JUST A BUNCH OF JERKS AND INCOMPETENTS RUNNING THE SHOW! When we have a new election of Board members I am planning on personally knocking on everyone's door to get them to 1) Elect
NEW members who are competent business people and not busy bodies; and 2) GET RID OF CMA
That is my goal for 2009!!!!!
- Pros: Landscaping is maintained
- Cons: Property Manager is the pits and has no customer service skills
