Do not use!

I would not recommend this company to anyone. There was no communication as to when the wood was going to be delivered. They just showed up, and had I not been home there is no telling what the outcome would be. The wood does not burn, not seasoned. I have taken a torch to this wood and it will not catch. I would call and request a new cord, but feel my time is better spent making other people aware of the quality this company provides. Do not use!

• Cons: Wood does not burn, no notification of delivery.

Interesting Work Philosophy

I hardly EVER leave a bad review, as I think if you have nothing great to say. . .well you know. However, I called this company to deliver wood to me and they quoted me a price, which continued to go up when I told them I wanted the wood stacked behind my home. In any case, I decided to give them a try. They told me they would deliver the wood on Saturday, 5 days later. I agreed. Meanwhile Saturday comes and goes and no wood. I called 3 times on Saturday to "confirm" and see what was going on, only to get an answering machine. No calls today, which is Monday. This is an interesting work philosophy to me. They may have great wood. . .but then again, I wouldn't know!

They go the extra mile!

These guys are great. They will deliver and stack your wood where you want it for the price that most people will charge to just dump it in your driveway!

Great company!

Oh and I forgot to mention that they are located right in town, they use locally recovered urban waste wood and that the owner usually answers the phone!

Would not order from American Firewood

Be weary of using American Firewood. Ordered a cord of wood for $250 dollars. Only a half was delivered at $150. Called them to address the situation and was never called back. Once we ran out, I ordered more because the first batch was pretty good wood. Made sure that I was there when they delivered to be sure that we got a full cord. We did get a full cord but got a full cord of unseasoned wood. So now, anytime that I make a fire, I get a smoldering pile of wood. Called them again and was told that they would fix the situtation. Never heard back from them. Would not use.

NO company will do it better, price, delivery, stack, and customer service is their key! i give them an A+!!!!
