Best Service & Food Quantity
by 52179apb at Citysearch
Visited last week and ordered dinner salad and small pizza to spilt. The salad was so fresh, like it was just picked from the garden. And the amount of toppings on the pizza was incredible. The service was very personable. We will go back indeed!
No-frills pizza joint fits the EAV vibe perfectly--cheap, easy and heavily-stocked on beer.

In Short
Grant Central Pizza's second location in East Atlanta is exactly what you would expect from a low-lit pizza den in one of Atlanta's coolest, dingy-hip hoods. It's the kind of place you can take your kid brother, yet your hip older cousin will be equally impressed. Concert posters for upcoming shows at the EARL and Variety are pinned up by the bathrooms, and in time-warp-fashion, a few 1980's arcade games let you test your mad skills. Sticking to their appropriately-classic guns, the pizza is no-frills, NY-style--dished by the slice or the pie. Greek salads come in hefty portions for bottom dollar, and unlike the hit-and-miss quality of the pizza, calzones are crispy and consistent. For the crowd, look for a mixed bag ranging from neighborhood types to scruffy cool-kids.
Worst Pizza You'll Ever Have
by merryxmas at Citysearch
You've got to be kidding me. Best pizza you've ever had? Really? This is some of the worst damn pizza in the freaking universe. It takes forever to get a slice and when you do it tastes like sloppy cardboard drano. Not to mention it's overpriced. 1'd. It's not even pizza.
Best Pizza in Atlanta.

The pizza is the best I've ever had. When I drive from Philadelphia to visit family in Atlanta, I always stop in Grant Central and get a pie and a Guinness.
- Pros: Pizza is the best, and other foods are great
- Cons: They don't serve Yuengling Beer
Great Pizza

If you're from the Northeast, ask them to make the pizza thin for you. Amazing pizza and sauce. Not big bready slabs like most places in Atlanta. The place is austere, but the staff are great and it's a great place to eat before going out in EAV.
- Pros: Pizza, lasagna, staff
- Cons: Decor
below average pizza

I went to get take out. First thing is they got my order wrong but of course I didnt notice this until I got home. The pizza was ok, but I've had better. They really dont put that much of each topping on the pizza. If I'm in the neighborhood and want some pizza while bar hopping I'd go here again but I definitely would not go out of my way or make the 1 mile drive from my house specifically to come here again.
- Pros: none
- Cons: below average pizza, lack of toppings on pizza
Great Pizza

The pizza is great but I would probably get take out...the restaurant is a little bare, not bad just not exciting. But the food is great. The crusts are hand tossed and very good. The portions are great and they don't skimp on the toppings.
- Pros: Toppings, pizza
super-duper

the pizza is awesome and always fresh. the prices are really good so over indulging is fine. i love the setting in east atlanta. There's a nice rocker-vibe going on.
A nice slice
by FlorrieBurch_Citysearch at Citysearch
The place isn't much to look at, and the service borders on belligerent, but the pizza is just about the best in town. The crust is perfectly crispy-chewy, the toppings are fresh (they offer that rare but delicious pizza topping, artichoke hearts) and the sauce balances nicely between sweet and tangy. All-around a tasty slice.
