While CL does have its share of problems (namely a handful of tiresome and uninvolving weekly column(ist)s) --I admire its unabashedly liberal alternative-weekly stance, especially in regards to the arts, local politics and the laughably atrocious Atlanta Journal-Constitution. It's refreshing to see the level of intelligence and commitment CL brings to its self-appointed role as fringe firebrand. A classic alt-weekly in every sense of the term.

• Pros: Asks tough questions, Good arts coverage
• Cons: Insipid columnists
