Yuk: unpleasant service and substandard food; & don't try it before a show!

I don't know why 14th Street Playhouse recommended this restuarant.
I had the parmesan encrusted trout with a veggie risotto. The risotto was a bit sour and clearly old. My partner had the Ribeye with parmesan potatoes and onion rings. The onions and the potatoes had been fried and were way too crispy to enjoy--the only flavor either had was grease.
The service didn't help things. The waiters seemed far too busy to help. I had to ask to have our drinks refilled. And it simply took way too long to get our food. We arrived 2 hours before our show at the Playhouse next door. But the service was so slow that we didn't have time to send our meals back, so we stomached what we could and went on to our show. We even had to wait 15 minutes to get our checks!
If you want to eat before the show, this is NOT the place to go.
Awesome Atmosphere

We went in here for a work lunch and the food was out in 10 minutes! The patio was amazing. The fresh air and openness was awesome. Food was so good, I came back on the weekend for brunch (Bloody Mary Bar!). I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Staff was very attentive, from the hosts up to the managers. Best restaurant in Midtown!
- Pros: Patio!
- Cons: nothing yet...
Patio is Great

The food here is so so. It's not over the top but not bad either--upscale bar food best decribes it. The Saturday and Sunday brunch is good on nice days when the patio is open. It's more about the atmosphere than the food. It's mostly a gay crowd with a lot of table hopping and visiting. If you have a problem with the gay lifestyle you will hate this place. The bar at nights is a good place to start the evening, but it's not a late night place. Service is hot and cold. At times I have found it to be excellent, at other times its horrible. We go here for the patio atmosphere and a drink with friends.

Good food and nice atmosphere. There are two sections--one casual and one more classy. The food is consistent and the service is good. Einsteins' has been around for quite a while and for a reason---it's reliable.

They really keep things moving smoothly here to handle the lunch rush--great place for a business lunch. Salads were nice and fresh; can't speak for the other dishes.
The "NEW" General Manager has NO CLUE what he is doing

A group of my friends use to go to Einsteins weekly and we will NOT return. The NEW General Manager has NO clue how to run a restaurant. We sat on the patio for brunch on a Saturday and we watch the General Manager walk back and forth and back and forth with OUT talking to any of his guests to see how their experience was..The service was slow and RUDE RUDE RUDE!!! I have heard that business as gone down for Einsteins do to the constrution in the area. I hope that the owners of Einsteins read this review and do something about their staff. Einsteins use to be a GREAT FUN place to dine out and have drinks but with that Manager and staff, they will fail....
- Pros: Outside seating
- Cons: RUDE and SLOW service
Trendy

Its trendy, and the bar is excellent. The food can be pricey, and not worth it at that. Good late night hangout.
- Pros: Bar, Late Night Scene
- Cons: Location, Price
Fantastic food, awesome patio, but expensive

Don't heed the Citysearch warning about not ordering the "serious entrees"! I went here with a big group of friends this past weekend, and we each ordered an entree dish (nobody ordered burgers, sandwiches, etc.). Those who ordered the ribeye loved it - marinated and cooked to perfection; the special of the day (surf & turf) was fantastic as well. Seafood dishes were delicious, including the coconut shrimp and the tequila shrimp. Everything on the menu looks great though, so I wouldn't mind going back to try the burgers. Great wine and beer selection, as well as specialty drinks and martinis. I love the patio, but the construction directly across the street is a bit of a bummer. Service was wonderful and entertaining, ambiance is great as well. Only complaint is that the food was a bit expensive for what it was (entrees range from $14-22). I paid $50 (including tip) for my entree, 2 glasses of wine, and a dessert.
- Pros: Patio, food, drinks, great for big groups
- Cons: Prices are high, parking, location (construction)
Horrible Attitude

I haven't eaten there in awhile (due to bad experiences in the past), so maybe things have changed...The food is pretty good at this place, but that's only if you get past the extremely pretentious hosts. Your best bet is to go when there is no wait. Contrary to what you are told over the phone, they do NOT honor call-ahead seating or reservations.
- Pros: Good food
- Cons: Snobby service
Great food, even better drinks, and the most amazing decadent desserts!

My good friend Trent recommended this place and I loved it. The salmon salad was yummy, my martini was amazing, and the white chocolate banana cream pie was divine.
- Pros: Great food, drinks and service
- Cons: Construction work across the street
Try it you'll love it

I must say in all of my visits to see my Brother, which lives across the street from Einstein's, I have never had a bad experience. The food depending on what you order is terrific. It?s a place you can go and feel as if you are in a European city. The architecture that has transformed this side walk cafe into one of Atlanta?s most beautiful restaurant?s is very uplifting and a place I could sit half of day and absorb the atmosphere. Every time I walk in the door, from the managers on down this is a wonderful dining experience. There?s always much more food on your plate than you can eat and it?s never prepared anything but perfect for me. If you?ve never been to Einstein?s, you have to try it. If you do you?ll make a return visit guaranteed.
- Pros: Ambience
- Cons: Parking limited
