No Booze, No Ciggies and "Just OK" Food
by jennymoose at Citysearch
I've always heard fantastic reviews for this place. However, it would seem the place is now run by new management. No reason to come here if you wanna have a beer or have a smoke on the patio. No Liquer License and smoking outside is prohibited. As far as the food; it was ok. It was one of the better Gyros I have had here in the U.S. However, the meat was tough and cubed (it really should be shaved off in smaller bits) and there were loads of lettuce everywhere. The Zaziki and feta suace were good but the spanikopida was ove -fried and had gobs of grease dripping off of it. Saturday lunch crowd consisted of a total of 6 people in the restaraunt. Probably an ok place to grab a bite to eat- but not for a social lunch or dinner.
- Cons: No liquer License and no smokning on the patio
Gone downhill with new owner
by cinziacarina at Citysearch
This restaurant was recommended to me by the late Honorable Mayor Maynard Jackson himself, may he rest in peace. We saw Mayor Jackson, who was a big jolly eater, in the parking lot. My friend was going on about what a great mayor he was, I said, "well I just wanna know what you had for lunch!" He laughed and said, "oh try the falafels, they're the best in town." From then on this became one of my favorite places for wraps, chicken wings, and of course falafel, and the carrot cake which is a well kept secret. Apparently there is a new owner and you can tell the difference. My falafels were really dry and crunchy and when my waitress asked to have them done over a loud argument ensued in the kitchen about how they were just like they're supposed to be. I went to tell them to forget it because I don't like people arguing over my food, and much to my surprise the owner was one of the people arguing that they were fine and that's how they're supposed to be. My waitress had to stick up for me, and they made them over but they were still inferior. Today I went and ordered a $7.95 Grecian Salad. It consisted of a big bowl of iceberg lettuce, 2 thin slices of green pepper, 2wedges of tomato, and 2 kalamata olives. We asked for a few more olives so they brought out 2 olives rolling around on a saucer, and we were told that the owner said that's all you get. I told the waiter to let her keep them because she might need them. Maybe she can put 'em back in the jar and sell 'em again. Better to raise the price of them salad and make it better than to be so stingy. People coming for the first time might think it's pretty good but old-timers will soon notice that it's going downhill fast due to the mean-spirited stinginess of the new management. This is a case where under new management is not a good thing. I'm sad that I won't be able to go there any more:-(
- Pros: Servers try to give good service
- Cons: Cheap owner, inconsistent food quality
The best greek restaurant I have ever been to
by krnjean at Citysearch
I LOVE this place. Me and my best friend have been going here since high school. It is our place we go everytime we go out to eat still. Now we have her new baby boy with us. It is fast, it is ALWAYS good and if it ever shuts down I do not know what I will do. HIGHLY recommended!!
It is worth checking out, try it!

After reading reviews here I decided to check this place out. The falafel was great, and the curly fries and feta sauce are quite tasty. It really isn't a hole in the wall like others stated..but it isn't fancy by any means. There are a lot of choices on the menu, so you'll be sure to find something you'll like. It took a while to get our food, but the food was great. I would recommend this place to friends and those interested in expanding their tastes in food.
Excellent curly fries, lemon wings and gyros!

The food is good. Service, ok. Ambience, average.... Inexpensive and fast. Never crowded... I like it.... just not a lot!
- Pros: Food- good Greek selections
- Cons: service- average, take-out takes forever when you order... at least that was my experience.. 3 times!!!
WORST DINING EXPERIENCE
by sixxchik at Citysearch
Honestly the worst dining I have ever experienced. Bad service with only four customers in the space. The food was less than fair. NEW RULE: If there are no customers, there's a reason.
Fantastic falafel wraps
by corndotz1 at Citysearch
The falafel wraps, pita bread and hummus are the best I've ever had. This restaurant has been around forever. Our office often orders take out and the orders usually come back wrong. The food is so worth it though. Just check your orders before you leave.
- Pros: Great food!
- Cons: Take out orders aren't always right
Best Gyro On Peachtree! Cottage Fries! Great Mediterranean Veggie Plater!
by jaymaygm at Citysearch
It's just a little hole in the wall in South Buckhead! The interior is a little funky, and needs a makeover, but who really cares at these prices and fresh Middle Eastern food! Just the best Gyro's in the city, try with homemade cottage fries with feta dressing, for dipping. Newly paved rear parking lot is a plus. Same friendly staff, who usually already know what you want after a few times. Give it a try if you are a Gyro fan! The Mediterranean Veggie Platter is tops-Hummus, Falefel, Baba, and Pita. Yum!
- Pros: Excellent Gryo's, Wraps and Salads! Med-Veggie Platter!
- Cons: Needs Interior Makeover, But That's O.K.
Great classic gyro genre food for Atlanta
by zeeluv4food at Citysearch
This is a great deck with a classic menu. The Tabbouleh is very good and the falafel are tasty. I wish they would bring dolmah to the menu but that's the only thing missing. Definitely consider this for your next visit to midtown. It's a good place for kids as well. be careful parking.
- Pros: inexpensive, healthy, taste
- Cons: not really, middle eastern
