I missed the attraction
by ekahrs at Citysearch
I went to Intermezzo after hearing RAVE reviews about it, and was sorely disappointed. The service was terrible, and the coffee was insanely overpriced. The coffee was good, yes, but it was also $5 for a 3-sip-size cup, all served with a major snooty attitude.
so romantic

romantic romantic romantic especially the new location in Ashword Dungwoody. Anytime of the day that place has romance. Slow music in the backgroud which lests you talk with your loved one or your friends. When you go to restroom you might learn a new word in another Europian language. Second best thing is you can order so many tipes of coffee. One greatest behavior about the emplyees is that they all wear blach outfits, ladies in nice dresses and man in nice tax great looking. It is little full on weekends but a lot of people like that place so no wonder is packed. Visit both location. I recomend Ashword Dungwoody
- Pros: romantic, a nice view in back, nice view in front
- Cons: crowded weekend night
where snooty meets pricey

If you can figure out how to get around behind the restaurant and park, you're in good shape.
The outdoor patio is beautiful, even thought the $5. plastic chairs leave something to be desired.
The attitude of the managers is horrible. Our waiter was yelled at in front of several tables of customers for a minor offence (he was turning on the overhead heater for a Grandma that was cold)
The dessert case is the saving grace for this overpriced location that's packed with more attitude than charm.
- Pros: Desserts, Patio
- Cons: Attitude, Prices, Parking
Great Pre/Post date place
by ewuradwoa at Citysearch
It has a great ambience for meeting another couple or hanging out with one of your pals or significant other. You see people from all walks of life which adds to this atmosphere. They have sophisticated drinks for the non-alcoholic person. But if you go after 10:00pm the crowd is way too large.
- Pros: ambience, desserts, drink selection
- Cons: crowd after 10pm
Loved it!

Intermezzo has such a nice atmosphere! I went in the early evening and had a great drink (alchoholic), a nice cigar and a very tasty desert. The prices were fair and the service was friendly. As a new arrival in the ATL from Los Angeles, this is the first place I was really impressed with. Two thumbs up!
Take your date

The food is mediocre. The service is inconsistent and never stellar. But this is still one of the cutest places to hang out in the Brookwood area. The desserts are decadent. And the specialty coffee drinks are addictive. Also a great place for for pre/post date conversation.

- Pros: great desserts, nice ambience

Underage?
by erinbehan_citysearch at Citysearch
Though people of all ages come to Intermezzo, it sticks in my mind as a place to go when you need a place to take a date and you've yet to hit the legal drinking age. Intermezzo is about desserts and fun coffee concoctions, and there's plenty of both to choose from. The Peachtree location has a nice patio out back that's good for both groups and more intimate conversation. Service, unfortunately, is unpredictable. There's never enough servers to go around, especially on Friday and Saturday night, so expect to wait much longer for everything here than you would anywhere else.
