Le Pue...

Horrible customer service, inefficient and poorly managed. It is a shame that something as essential and fundamental as service, it is still so overtly sub par. To the person in charge of creating such an apathetic environment I must say, Sir you are a failure at management, walk away........
- Pros: Great Food
- Cons: Pathetic Service
Great Pasta, Drinks, Desserts, and las Cocorachas

I have always been a big fan of Intermezzo until today. My mother was visiting from out of town and I wanted to take her to my (once) favorite spot. Before arriving to the restaurant I told my girlfriend that I was taking my mom to Intermezzo and she casually responded " hopefully you don't see another el Cocoracha". I laughed it off, though I did remember the last time we were there and we saw el Cocoracha. Needless to say after being there for only 15 minutes, I saw El Cocoracha in true form!! I immediately cancelled my order and asked to speak to management however what was most upsetting to me was that the manager tried to inconspicuosly step on el Cocoracha without letting the patron, whose feet el Cocoracha was hanging out next to, that she had unwanted company near her feet. Cafe Intermezzo please get your act together!!!
worst service ever

I would not recommend visiting intermezzo. what once used to be a bustling italian style cafe is now the most poorly managed establishment in the history of restaurants. My glass of crown royal xr, a $25 drink came with 80% water, and the other 20% was not crown xr. watered down drinks. not cool. we waited an hour for cake that never came to the table. HORRIBLE SERVICE.
- Pros: none
- Cons: manager
Great Omelettes!
by ds100 at Citysearch
My family was in town and we decided that after club and bar hopping in Buckhead to catch a bite to eat and Cafe Intermezzo was on the radar from my brother's experience from years prior. Immediately I was turned on by the the trendy, european cafe' look and ambience and there was no wait for seating. A few celebrities faces were in the place that night which made me feel like this was the "IT spot" to eat. Were else can you go and get gourmet coffee and omelettes @ 1230 at night! The omelete I ordered had spinach, cheese, mushrooms and tasted so good I almost ordered another one. And I came in no that hungry. 2 thumbs up! 1st class food and service!
- Pros: Breakfast at anytime
- Cons: Small confined building and seating
Awful

What happened to this place? The food was never great but it used to be ok. My fiance and I went there last night for coffee and a piece of cake, but we decided at the last minute to get something to eat. I ordered mushroom ravioli thinking that it shouldn't be too complex for the kitchen to handle. My fiance ordered a grilled cheese sandwich. My ravioli was just horrible. All you could taste was onions, garlic salt and pepper with no trace of mushrooms at all. The sauce was gluey like it had been reheated in the microwave several times. It was completely inedible. It was almost as if whoever cooked it knew zero about cooking and certainly did not taste it before sending it out of the kitchen. My fiance's grilled cheese sandwich was ok, but honestly, it looked like something served up at Waffle House - Not that there's anything wrong with that, however at Waffle House I would expect to pay $3 for a grilled cheese, not $8 for the same thing with no accompanying side dish. Unless a pickle is considered a side item.
The tea I ordered had no flavor whatsover which I did send back to the server. Had I known that the ravioli was going to be as awful I would have kept the flavorless tea and sent back the food. I didn't have the heart to send back 2 things especially after the waitress told me that many things had been sent back to the kitchen that night, so one more thing didn't make any difference.
Come on Cafe Intermezzo folks! You're sitting on a goldmine - why would you serve such awful food! Also, train your staff. It always takes sooo long for stuff to come out to you. I used to love coming here as a single gal, but I've realized that I seem to now make a yearly visit to this place which always makes me remember why I only go there once a year. The service and food is awful, and even though the desserts are fabulous, its just too much of a pain to deal with the service and the growing potential of the place having gone even more downhill since your last visit.
- Pros: Desserts, ambience
- Cons: Service and Food on the menu is dreadful
Great Servers!

I came one busy weekend evening with friends and sat in the patio and had a great time. Our server Zuri and Rachel was outstanding. We all love their happy energy and that was just what we needed after a long week of work, to see happy people...Happy holidays you guys...I will definitely return to see you all...
Decent Coffee, Great Desserts, Too Expensive, Very Poor Customer Service
by aknjmmg at Citysearch
On Saturday I took my wife to Cafe Intermezzo after dinner. When we entered the restaurant, five employees were standing around the reception counter, talking amongst themselves for the first 30 seconds while we stood before saying "hello", "welcome", or any of the other common phrases that don't give customers the feeling they're more of a nuisance rather than the reason any service provider is in business.
When we were finally given a seat, the waiter was quick enough to get us a menu and take our order for two coffees and a dessert, and it took about 15 minutes before we had our coffee and dessert. However, he didn't come back and check on us for about 30 minutes. While one of the main goals of going to a coffee shop is long conversation, checking up on customers (e.g. how is everything, what else can I get you, do you need a refill on your coffee?) is still just as important. Why couldn't one of the five folks in the front help if our waiter was too busy, and is everything as expensive as it is to fund staff that just stand around and ignore customers?
I can go elsewhere to get good coffee AND good service, for a better price - my wife deserves better. The atmosphere is nice, but I cannot recommend this place.
- Pros: Nice place, good dessert
- Cons: Poor service, too expensive
Delicious desserts and coffee

I love this place because it is open so late! My friends and I have typically gone around 12:30 to 1 AM and remained until closing. Love the chocolate cake/cheescake combo that I have had there twice....I have never been disappointed with any of the coffee/espresso drinks. The atmosphere is fantastic! Candle lit and yet still bustling so that you have privacy while feeling like you are in the midst of something exciting. It would be very easy to have a romantic date here. The service is only ok...a little slow and sometimes grumpy but I guess I would be grumpy at 1 AM if I had to work. This is a must-visit spot for anyone living in Atlanta long term.
- Pros: Coffee, Dessert, Romantic, Hours
- Cons: Service
Satisfied my sweet tooth!

Went to Cafe Intermezzo the other night for dessert after a dinner night out. Dessert was the best part of the night! The tiramisu was great. So was my Irish coffee. So many desserts I had a hard time choosing. Everything looked so good. Service was a little slow, but we didn't mind becuase we spent so much time staring at all the yummy desserts!
- Pros: Desserts and coffee
- Cons: slow service
Pest Problems...stay away from here
by robertjohns at Citysearch
Rodents and insects!!! my wife and I went to cafe intermezzo on peachtree last week when we noticed a large insect crawling up the wall near our table as if this did not disgust us enough I found rodent excretement in the corner of the mens room floor.even though the service has always been terrible and we"ve received cold coffee a few times we loved the pastries so we continued to patronize the place for a while but after this never again will we set foot near the place.better off getting cheesecake from the kroger deli than chance eatting food in a place with pest problems.
- Pros: none
- Cons: terrible service at best
