I happened upon Intermezzo when I first moved to Atlanta in 2002 and have gone with some frequency ever since. I will say the place is consistent in its inconsistency. Sometimes the food is excellent, as is the service. At other times, the food is okay and the service is atrocious. I had a run in 2005 where the service was consistently good, but the last time I went (February 2006), I was served by someone who was apparently sent home, and was only replaced when I complained to a manager. His replacement was also terrible, possibly because he had too many tables. All told, it was shocking, and I wasn't even comped anything. The selection at the bar and the desserts are always top notch, as is the atmosphere. Anything else? You pays your money, you takes your chances.

Cons: Service, Service, Service!!!
