I love this place. It is a lot of fun and offers so much. I love how there is live music downstairs and a dj upstairs. You have options and you can't hear what goes on downstairs on the upper level. it feels as if you get two different atmospheres. i think it is a grat establishment for everyone. the people and service are great! I've been several times and my experience has been consistent. Keep it up!
Pros: Everything
Cons: Hard to Find one

I was throroughly dissatisified with the manager. She was highly unprofessional, and invaded my personal space. They must be used to a certain type of clientele!!! The wonderful company of my friends saved the night.
Pros: great music
Cons: Parking

First and foremost we appreciate your business and will do what it takes to make Barley's one of your favorite places! Thank you for taking the time to comment on our venue. While we thank those for highlighting the good things about our place, we truly appreciate the constructive criticism. It will only help to make us better. The large crowds on Fridays and Saturdays have been a challenge. We have changed the number of people allowed in certain areas to eliminate overcrowding, which should allow better access for the waitstaff. Additional staff has been added to ensure that ALL OF OUR PATRONS are serviced appropriately. We also made changes to many of the drink prices that seemed out of whack. Please continue to share your comments!
Pros: Best bands in town - Every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evening!

Okay, so i have been here several times both before and after the re-grand opening!!! The service is the WORST, the waitstaff and manager are really rude! The nicest people were the busboys that cleaned my table. The ONLY reason I would and still continue to go back is because the band rocks the house...they are GREAT, they make the experience worth it. So, if you decide to go to Barleys just be on notice that the service is wack, the food is extra wack sans the onion rings and the best thing they have going is the band......yyyyyyaaaaaaahhhhhhhh Indigo Sunset
Pros: Indigo Sunset and Onion Rings
Cons: the staff..PERIOD!!!

This is an upscale establisment for the grown and mature to hang out and have some cocktails, and shoot pool. If you like to shoot like me, the tables are all in good condition and very fast. Come with your A game because their are some good shooters that come through. The staff is friendly and usually the service is great. The bands are always jamming and talented. The music walks you thru different genres and times. The food is better than I expected and they have a decent menu from wings, salads, steak, shrimp and salmon. Something for everyone. I was suprised at how good the salmon salad was. Upstairs you have more tables and a DJ spinning the cuts, while the band jams downstairs. A cool place to hang and be seen!!
Pros: good food, drinks
Cons: expensive

After reading about Barley's in the Essence magazine me and my friend decided to check it out. The atompshere is very cool and laidback. The crowd appears to be 30 and up. The Friday band Indigo Sunset is the truth. They take you through several era's of music and they are great. The down side is the service and set-up. When you require that everyone sitting at a table must pay $15 (a $15 voucher is given to you and applied to your purchase) with a 15% gratuity added to your bill then you should get excellent customer service. I understand the concept and really don't have a problem with it except: they shouldn't institute it until they have their staff trained to more efficient and courteous (more customer service oriented). The layout they should relocate the stage and rearrange the tables to provided comfortable sitting. The tables were jammed together with no room for traffic. The server's were have customer's pass food and drinks to other customers. All I can say is work out the kinks and you have got a great place.

I've been going to this spot for a while, way before it became as popular as it is now. Unfortunately, I've seen some unfavorable changes. They have added an automatic gratuity to checks Fri.-Sun. They've also now started to charge for tables, $15 per person. I understand making business moves, but these additions were executed without warning. There's no appreciation for repeat customers. On a lighter note, the band on Fri. night is the best-Indigo Sunset.
Pros: Parking, Music, Ambience
Cons: Fees, Fees, and more fees!

I have always wondered about this place but was intimidated to go in - just not sure what it was all about but when everything else was closed downtown we ventured in - our wait staff was so incredibly helpful and friendly, the place was clean and smokefree and they didnt charge for use of the tables - it was awesome - I will definitily go here again.
Pros: great staff, great room, decent food and reasonable prices
Cons: none yet but hear fri and sat very crowded

I have visited this fine establishment several times over the year or so that it opened and I must say " WOW". I enjoyed a couple of major sporting events ( last night NBA championship game, world cup, etc.) and there is no place better to see and be seen. The food is par excellence definitely not your average sport bar fare, cute and friendly waitresses and great drinks. I would recommend you get there early on Friday and Saturday nights because the live entertainment is really hot and seating is at a premium. My compliments to management because they have truly provided something that this town has been missing. Do yourself and favor and check it out !!!!
Pros: Terrific atmosphere, food and service
Cons: Very popular on Friday and Saturday nights
