Decent Food - Cash Only
by khuntert

Cheap eats - Basically a Meat and Two Sides or Pasta. Don't expect a five-star meal, but for the price, the food is not bad. It is far more tasty and far more healthy than any fast food chain. Service is fairly quick and easy. The best part of all is perhaps the mix of people dining in. Parking is available, but the lot is small.
Biggest Problem - Eats is Cash-Only. They've lost my business on multiple occasions because I generally don't have cash and don't care to spend the extra bucks at the ATM.
Overall a good place to grab a warm meal, just make sure you are carrying a $10.

Two lines of menu: Pasta line, offering even spinach pasta, with your choice of sauces. Meat & veggie line offering my personal fav of Jjerk chicken, black beans & rice, cornbread. Very wonderful. Of course there is more meats and veggies such as meatloaf, sweet potato, collard greens, mac&cheese. They do have a dessert line but I never eat it because I am too full. If that isn't enough to please your senses the crowd always provide entertainment.
*Funny... this review site would not let me spell Jjerk the regular way because it was offensive so I had to misspell it :)
- Pros: Spicy Jjerk chicken
- Cons: Limited parking

I absolutely love eating at Eats. I feel like it was made just for me to eat there. Everything there is perfect. I can't be objective about it. I love this place. I take people there to see if they are cool. If they like it, they're cool.

Eats is great comfort food at low prices. You may be surprised at how limited the menu is, but I still don't get tired of it. Your choices are: J*rk chicken, lemon chicken, turkey meatloaf, or pasta. Plus there are several sides to choose from. The chicken is fantastic, and I also really love the tortellini with marinara sauce. My favorite sides are the collards, cous cous, and cornbread. Mac and cheese is also good. The broccoli is meh. Avoid the meatloaf at all costs. You definitely get full from the chicken dishes. The prices are kept low by the lack of tableside service. You order at the counter, then pick up your own food. Drinks, silverware, etc all self-service. A good place to go with friends or if you are short on time. Not romantic, not good for large groups. Expect to spend just over $9 for chicken plus 3 sides (includes tax).
- Pros: Food, prices
- Cons: Limited menu choices (but it's probably how they keep prices low)

Oh my gosh! This place was better than I expected. I ordered the erk chicken and 2 sides and was so surprised to get a real 1/2 of a chicken! It was flavorful, filling, and perfect. Their couscous is good and the service was extremely fast. My friend ordered the chicken alfredo and that was the best alfredo sauce we had ever tasted. They need to bottle it and sell it! It's not a pretty restaraunt, but you don't even notice because of the food! I can't wait to go back and try some more stuff!!
- Pros: great food, filling, cheap, fast
- Cons: parking, hard to find

If you want relatively healthy food and are on a tight budget, come here. Most places charge insane prices for pasta, which is by definition cheap unless it is homemade. There are also meat and vegetable choices, and the veggies actually still taste like veggies.
Best J*rk Chicken anywhere

Eats is cheap and the j*rk chicken is perfect! i have not found better j*rk chicken anywhere else yet. the person who complained about the green beans and chicken i am going to write that off as them being pretentious, as this place is not fancy. I try to get downtown at least a couple times a month to eat here.
this is my absolute favorite place to eat anywhere.
- Pros: great food and cheap
- Cons: parking is a bit irritating, but worth it.

At Eats, reminisce your school days by picking up a red plastic tray and choosing from a pasta station where you can pick your sauce and noodles and add toppings or a meat and twos or threes station. They also offer a variety of vegetarian options and side dishes. Beer and wine are also available. My husband loves the jerk chicken, and I always steal his cornbread. Can you say lots of good food for cheap.

I love the inexpensive prices and the variety of pasta with several different sauces and toppings on one side of the restaurant, then homestyle fair on the other. you can get baked chicken, and turkey meatloaf along with vegetables on the other side. whatever your taste, the food is within the budget.
- Pros: price, delicious food, variety of pasta and home cooking
- Cons: none

- Pros: chicken tastes great, costs little.
- Cons: hmmm....hard to say...i guess a small parking lot...that's nitpicking though..this place rules
