Eats is cheap and the j*rk chicken is perfect! i have not found better j*rk chicken anywhere else yet. the person who complained about the green beans and chicken i am going to write that off as them being pretentious, as this place is not fancy. I try to get downtown at least a couple times a month to eat here. this is my absolute favorite place to eat anywhere.
Pros: great food and cheap
Cons: parking is a bit irritating, but worth it.

I love the inexpensive prices and the variety of pasta with several different sauces and toppings on one side of the restaurant, then homestyle fair on the other. you can get baked chicken, and turkey meatloaf along with vegetables on the other side. whatever your taste, the food is within the budget.
Pros: price, delicious food, variety of pasta and home cooking
Cons: none

how can a reviewer mention that they only take cash as their problem? that's YOUR problem. there's an atm there. spiff 'em the 2 bux bc it's worth it for the food. love the people, the food...parking is a pain but worth it. def the best cheap eats when you work downtown.
Pros: chicken tastes great, costs little.
Cons: hmmm....hard to say...i guess a small parking lot...that's nitpicking though..this place rules

i absolutely disagree with the idea that Eats shouldn't be considered 'romantic'. my wife and i enjoyed our first date there, and then several years later, i saw it fitting to propose to her there. we happen to live in new york city, among any number of cliché 'romantic hot spots', but none would be as meaningful nor as close to home as the far off Eats. we miss it greatly, but always make it our first destination while visiting ATL. thanks EATS!!
Pros: reliable, consistent, tasty. great prices

Cheap eats - Basically a Meat and Two Sides or Pasta. Don't expect a five-star meal, but for the price, the food is not bad. It is far more tasty and far more healthy than any fast food chain. Service is fairly quick and easy. The best part of all is perhaps the mix of people dining in. Parking is available, but the lot is small. Biggest Problem - Eats is Cash-Only. They've lost my business on multiple occasions because I generally don't have cash and don't care to spend the extra bucks at the ATM. Overall a good place to grab a warm meal, just make sure you are carrying a $10.

A very good idea, well executed. The ingredients are fresh, the menu is simple, but there are lots of permutations with three meats ( My surprise favorite is the turkey meatloaf ! ), more than ten vegetables/ sides, many pastas, and six or seven sauces. Drinks and deserts, too. Busy and worn, but clean. Food is served quickly; you pick it up at the counter, and choose a table. The quality is consistent, and a very good value. It's even great for vegetarians! It is NOT romantic, leave your snooty attitude at home, but the staff is generally pleasant and helpful. As someone else said, it's a good place to go when when you haven't got a special place in mind. Or it may be your special place if good food is more important than impressing a guest!

Food is not that cheap. I spent 30 bucks on 3 people and nobody liked their food. The food reminded me of my old high school cafeteria. It was horrible. Chicken was bland and dry. Pasta had no flavor. Only go to this place if you want to be reminded of your old high school cafeteria. I would rather go to Wendy's.
Pros: Location, Friendly People
Cons: Food, Price, Parking, Smell

Basically, if it's one of those days where you can't decide what you want, go to Eats. They have a really good menu with everything from Caribbean-Jerk Chicken to mac and cheese (both of which are yummy). I have daydreams about their fettucini alfredo with garlic bread. And it is all SO cheap--perfect for us college students and starving artist types. Don't expect a fine dining experience, though. While Eats is more relaxed than other short-order joints, service is fast and no-nonsense.
Pros: cheap food, yummy
Cons: not fine dining by any means

Most restaurants I like have one or two menu items that I enjoy. At Eats, I crave any one of 6 or 7 things and always leave satisfied. The alfredo and pesto sauces are better, in my opinion, than ritzy Italian restaurants. The service is fast and no-nonsense. Don't go there if you're expecting a guy with a towel over his arm to serve you at your table. This is tasty food with a diverse crowd at a low price.
Pros: Fast service, multiple menu items with great flavors that you crave, cheap
Cons: Chicken chili is a little too spicy but I order it anyway

This is my 1st post, but I've been an AVID eater since birth & enjoy good, quality food! If the price is right, even better, being that I'm a public school teacher, married to...a public school teacher. Eats is quick-to-the pace when you step-up to order at a station. Good service is a gem! Their jerk-chicken is fanTAStic! So are their pastas & veggies. Ginger beer has always been a nice touch with any of their entrčes. The place is clean & we've never had a problem finding seating, though there are ALWAYS lots of people dining. The only things I would ask to improve, would be to move it near to my school so someone may find it in their heart to pick-up for us OR for it to be in the N.GA mtns. so we could ride up on our bikes (motorcyclists LOVE a good ride-to-eat)! Bonne appetite!
