Salon Red is by far the best in Atlanta

I discovered Salon Red in September after searching high and low for someone who was actually talented at waxing eyebrows . I went to 4 other salons in the area before finding Kristin at Salon Red. After being extremely disappointed with other salons “attempting” to do my eyebrow waxing and ruining them over and over, I went to Salon Red. The first time Kristin waxed my brows I was SO happy and hooked on Salon Red. Kristin is truly an artist at what she does. My eyebrows have never looked better. I now travel 1.5 hours in traffic to get to Salon Red for Kristin’s service. I would not go anywhere else! The entire experience is so relaxing, from the massage table you lie on to the soothing music she plays in the background. She is always on time and did I say how experienced she is?!

Since I was so happy with my eyebrow waxing experience, I decided to ask for a recommendation on a hair stylist at Salon Red too. I tried Phillip last month and now I won’t go anywhere else either for my hair. The cut he gave me I have received so many compliments on. I’m excited to have him do my color next weekend. Salon Red is filled with so many talented stylists and artists! Try them, you will not be disappointed! And the atmosphere in both the Candler Park location and the Decatur location is very relaxing. I always look forward to my appts there.

Atwood is the bees knees!

I've spent the last 10 years being really spoiled because my best friend is one of the best stylists in the Pacific NW, but when I moved to Atlanta this summer I was faced, for the first time, with the daunting task of finding someone I trust enough to make my hair beautiful. Let's face it, your hair is with you EVERY DAY and is your most noticeable accessory, so finding someone that not only sees your vision, but will advise you on what changes will make you look your absolute best is a must.

I put off this painful process as long as I could...until one day I realized my split ends were over 2 inches long. OUCH! I did my research, said a little prayer and made an appointment with Atwood at Salon Red.

The moment I walked into Salon Red, I knew I liked it. The atmosphere was cute and trendy, the receptionist was nice and welcoming (and her hair was absolutely adorable!) and I just felt immediately at ease.

Then I met Atwood. She had me at "hello". She took her time talking to me about what I liked about my current look, what I wanted to change, and how I wanted to feel with my cut. The time Atwood spent running her hands through my hair and really getting to know the thickness and texture of my strands made me feel as if my haircut and color was as important to her as it was to me.

I was not disappointed. My hair color is exactly what I wanted, and while it hurt to cut 2+ inches off my length, she got my hair back to healthy and kept as much length as possible. I am in LOVE with my hair and I found my hairstyling Goddess here in Atlanta.

If you care about your hair and want the confidence of knowing that you're going to walk out a more beautiful you, don't trust anyone other than Atwood at Salon Red.

Best facial and wax ever. Book with Katie -- accept no subst

First of all, waxing is never fun, but Katie's technique is so gentle it makes waxing practically pain-free. I'm not sure what she does, but the brazilian was only a few very minor ouchies, and no redness afterward. Plus, it lasted 6 weeks! Now, let me rave about the facial -- An hour of total relaxation and pampering. Treatments targeted to my skin needs. A heavenly neck and shoulder massage. Best of all I could actually see a difference in my skin tone and texture. Plus, and this is a big one for those of us with sensitive skin - no redness or irritation -- and no breakouts. So Go. Now. Put yourself in Katie's expert, licensed, and trained hands and be prepared for the best spa experience you've ever had.

Wonderful Facials

The staff are so knowledgeable and work very hard to make you feel special. Katie helped me select wonderful skin care products and spent a long time educating me to what would work best for my skin. I was so pleased and recommend her to any and all as the best in Atlanta. And Salon Red is very affordable.

Love having facial there.

I have had faical with Katie Kilgore many times. She is very nice and very helpful. I am always relaxed right after the facial. I moved here from west coast and not use to the humid weather. My face was full of acnes when I first saw Katie. She gave me several facial peels. After a month or two, my face totally cleared up. Katie is really friendly and knowledgable. She gave me simple advices that I can follow easily. The products that she recommended work wonders on my face. I usually see her after my workout. She would gave me massages while waiting for the mask to dry. It was so relaxing that I would fall into sleep in no time. Whenever she try to decide what peel I would get, she also consider my social schedule, so I would not show up at a party with a red face. I would totally recommend her to my friends.

best facial in town

I have been seeing esthetician Katie Kilgore for over a year and my acne-prone skin has radically changed more from her treatments than from any topical cream or prescription drug. In fact, when Katie left my old spa and moved to SalonRed, I had to go with her! Skin doesn't stay the same and Katie has always been confident in "switching up" my routine if I need it. I have recently tried her other services and was very pleased with the eyebrow wax and back treatment. I recommend her for any esthetic treatment.

Atwood is awesome!

I have been a customer at Salon Red in Decatur for about 2 years. I feel as though I am a picky customer, in that I have a certain color I like to get highlighted in my hair... blond, but not yellowy blond, yet just the right amount of shine (blah, blah - you get the picture...). I must say though, since I've been going to Atwood at Salon Red, she's pinpointed the color perfectly! I have always walked out of the salon a satisfied customer, feeling refreshed and ready to start a new day! Atwood is such a caring stylist, really taking into consideration what you, the customer, wants done to your hair. She's friendly, yet confident in her abilities. I appreciate that!

My husband and I just bought a house about 45 minutes south of Atlanta and I still plan to keep Atwood as my stylist... the drive is worth it!

Timothy Rules

i haven't let anyone cut my hair (besides yours truly) in about a decade. timothy did an outstanding job! i think he may have turned me off of ever getting another do-it-yourself haircut.

another plus is that he explains every step of the style after the cut, and also tells you how to different styling options to get the most versatile look out of your cut.

a superb haircut, and that "i learned something today" feeling.

I haven't had a hair cut this good in over 7 years, and that was from my gay boyfriend hairdresser in NY. I have tried several in Atlanta, in and outside the perimeter, and this time i found the talent that i've been missing...Rachel! She has an amazing ear for the indecisive type, like me, and makes sure you get what you want out of the cut. So happy, feel like a new woman. :)
