Where do they keep the pirates?
by theboykin
Its one of the best local bars in town. Its slam down in the middle of Little Five. Parking can be a nightmare but besides that and a few teenage homeless kids from Iowa its a gem. First off at night its dark enough you can relax and avoid creditors. The food is decent, the beer is cold, and the service is normally on the money.
- Pros: Food, service, people
- Cons: parking
Great food, atmosphere
by kchris320
Yet another Atlanta institution. Ecclectic crowd, great bar food, and good service. Don't pass up the Yacht Dog or the Brunswick stew!
- Pros: Unique atmosphere
- Cons: None
Good food, beer, bartenders, time.
by the_dude7
I've been to this place a few times over the years and I never leave disappointed. This last time I had the Georgia Dog which is a hotdog topped with Brunswick Stew. It tasted great. I've never tried it, but they have a good selection of BBQ items as well. Good selection of beer. There are always people at the bar to strike up a conversation. Whenever I'm in Little 5 Points I always make an effort to stop by for a pint and some food.
- Pros: good bar food, prices, nice view of Euclid Ave
- Cons: none
Great dart bar!

The Yacht Club is home to Atlanta's best dart league - the Atlanta Decatur Dart Association. Visit www.ADdarts.com for further details.
The best bar in Little 5 Points!
by guillermopalermo
I'm a regular at the Yacht(how we locals call it), this is the best spot in little 5 points and surrounding areas. Cheap beer, good food, great dart board, no pretentious people, great service crew, good rock n roll... best times!
Little Five Points' quintessential neighborhood bar.
by Contributor
The Scene
All crowds--hippie to Harley, preppie to punk--drop anchor at the Yacht Club. The natural place to grab a beer in Little Five, this friendly joint charms with one of Atlanta's most easy-going vibes. Cluttered decor recalls a packrat's closet; beer paraphernalia and the occasional maritime reference dominate the horizon. As with any cozy watering hole, the best seat is at the bar, but the side room's massive tables provide a more accommodating alternative for large groups. For a true read on this bar's personality, check out the bathroom blackboard, where those inclined can express their colorful thoughts in writing.
The Draw
While trendy scenes come and go in Atlanta, the Yacht Club seems to never change. The welcoming staff, nonjudgmental crowd and better than average bar food make believers of most who walk through the door.
Yacht's Hot!
by scottythebody
This is the best bar in Atlanta. It's not for being seen, it's not a pickup place (by the standard definition) and it's not terribly well decorated. However, if you are looking for a neighborhood bar with what I would assert is the best quality bar food (when I say bar food, I'm referring to the standards: burgers, fries, bbq, burritos, chips and cheese, etc) in the entire city, this is the spot. The service is always efficient if a bit gruff, the music is passable, and you're not going to break the bank
- Pros: neighborhood bar, great quality food, fun
- Cons: sometimes bad music, smokey
Cooler than Buckhead and Strip Mall Bars
by clincher
The Yacht Club is one of Atlanta's better bars. Why? Simply because it reminds you of the traditional neighborhood bar that you'd find in Chicago or in the dissapearing neighborhoods of Boston. Comfortable, friendly, and cheap. It's really one of the few places in Little 5 Points to just go sit down and have a beer and that's unfortunate.
- Pros: In a Old Neighborhood, Cheap Beer, Great Atmosphere
- Cons: NONE
Best bar in town
by duffman
This is what a bar is supposed to be. A place to go and drink. Try the brisket with a PBR. You can't go wrong.
- Pros: good beer, specials
- Cons: packed on sunday
Neighborhood fave

Don't let the bikers scare you. The Yacht Club is an all-inclusive neighborhood bar. Overhearing conversations ranging from theories on Chomsky to rebuilding engines is just part of the fun at the long-time area favorite. The large tables and booths in the side room serve as the perfect place for a late-night conversation with all your best friends.
