inman park secret!

by creep4ward at Citysearch

nothing's better than sitting on the patio at johnny's on a warm afternoon, drinking a beer and eating a cheap slice of cheese and roasted red pepper pizza. a nice alternative to the carnival of little 5 points.

Great Neighborhood Joint

by foodie513 at Citysearch

This is a great place to get pizza late night to go or stay to grab a beer. You can stop by after hours after the bar closes. My favorite is the Hawaian pizza!

pizza shots beer

by ladythomas at Citysearch

Johnny's "Eye of the Tiger" shot is fun for all! Even the wait staff apparently, our server was so drunk I don't know how she was still standing. They might also want to start carding as a table of high school kids were OFFERED pitchers and not carded at all. These kids were so shocked they could barely even accept the sloshed waitresses offer.

pizza sticks were great, slice pizza could have been hotter and fresher, salads were okay.

The service is that of a neighborhood pizza place, as in, not the greatest. But the atmosphere is relaxed and everyone is having a good time.

Parking is good

  • Pros: pizza
  • Cons: drunk staff

One star in the Johnny's franchise universe, this laid-back pizzeria serves thick layers of toppings on a thin, crisp crust.

In Short
College kids, families and the ultra-casual found here. Decor and service are bare-bones. Separating Johnny's from the slice next door is a crisp, thin crust and thick layers of fresh toppings. The juicy vegetarian version is piled with spinach, onions, mushrooms, black olives and slabs of tomato; green olives add a nice zing. Tasty subs are a steal at under $5. Other Italian-American items like spaghetti and eggplant parmesan round out the menu.

Good, solid pizza

by JohnKress_Citysearch at Citysearch

When I'm in the mood for pizza but nothing fancy like Fritti (or even Savage), I can always rely on Johnny's. Good pies and calzones and cheap draft beer make this a solid dinner destination that doesn't break the bank.

  • Pros: Cheap, consistent
