Great Wedding Dress Experience
by Cheryltiffany
I went to Kelly's closet in April of 2007. I went in with an appointment, but there was a "bridezilla" in there needing everyone's opinion and attention. Kelly told me to look around and grab a few things off the shelves to try on. I saw the perfect dress, tried it on, bought it within 20 minutes and left. I am not the type of person that wants to be fussed over or has to be admired, so this experience was perfect for me. The only thing is that we paid a lot of money for my dress and when I was putting it on to get married, two beads fell off and by the end of the night, one strap had broken. They did have an awesome selection of dresses, pricy but awesome.
interesting selection, good quality

I went to Kelly's Closet on recommendation of a friend. The dresses are different from what you will find at many other more "typical" bridal salons. Unfortunately, they did not have much selection in the type of dress I was looking for - very simple, very elegant, diaphanous. The consultant I worked with was friendly but didn't strike me as being very knowledgeable. Overall, however, it was a good experience.
- Pros: interesting selection of dresses, down-to-earth atmosphere
- Cons: limited selection of simple, elegant dresses
Friendly Faces, Beautiful Clothes
by pete235
I have visited Kelly's Closet ever since it first opened. The relaxed atmosphere, uncluttered racks, and unique clothes always drew me in. Even my husband likes to shop there! After many years of visiting the boutique, it was the first place I went to try on wedding gowns. The beautiful selection and personal attention I received from the bridal consultants made me want to buy my gown there. While I did visit another shop in town, the experience did not compare. If you are going to spend a lot of money on a couture gown, you want to feel taken care of, not just another customer being shuffled in and out. At Kelly's Closet I felt the consultants were really trying to understand me and the kind of bride I wanted to be. They took time thinking through the options and what made me feel good, not just what made me look good. In the end, I got both. I wouldn't send a friend anywhere else!
- Pros: atmosphere, service, quality
- Cons: sometimes expensive (but worth it!)
designer boutique, designer clothes, beautiful clothes, great customer service,

Hi. I have been a Kelly's Closet faithful fan for years. I started as a boutique shopper and then bought my wedding dress there. The bridal is hands-down, best-in-town amazing but the boutique is my favorite. If you want to find things that are beautiful, individualistic and creative, visit this shop! You will find things that you can't find anywhere else in the city. Kelly has an amazing eye for fashion! Almost anytime I wear something that I bought at Kelly's, I get TONS of complements.
As for the customer service, the closeteers are amazing. The lovely people at Kelly's and Kelly herself are unbelievable knowledgeable, discerning and warm. They go above and beyond to help you find the things that are right for you.
It is my favorite place to shop.
- Pros: amazing clothes, amazing customer service
- Cons: it is expensive but you get timeless pieces that are worth it!
worth every penny

Kellys's Closet was my first stop as I shopped for wedding gowns. They defintely exceeded my expectations. The service was amazing (SO MUCH FUN), the selection is unique, and the whole experience was intimate and personal. They took the time to ask questions and get to know me as well as my likes and dislikes. Although I did find my dress at Kelly's Closet, I felt like they would have welcomed me with open arms even if I went another direction. I didn't find the prices to be to abnormal when compared to other couture designers in the wedding industry, but if you expect lower prices because it is a small shop, you will be surprised. That said, if you find your gown there you will be willing to pay every penny because they are all unlike any other gowns in the Atlanta area and the service is impeccable from start to finish (alterations, perservation of gown, etc).
- Pros: service, selection
- Cons: parking
Not your typical bridal shop experience
by scienceiscool
Kelly?s Closet was recommended to me by a friend, and I suspect that a great deal of their business comes from the recommendations of happy customers. This was the only bridal salon I visited in my dress search where I didn?t feel pressured or rushed in any way. There is a actually a sign in the dressing area insisting that the word FAT must not be spoken here ? the attitude is finding a dress that suits you (in body and personality), rather than forcing yourself into a bride stereotype. Accordingly, there are a great variety of styles that deviate from the strapless princess numbers which swamp every other store. All the salespeople I encountered were helpful and courteous, Kelly herself (a fabulous person) was present a great deal of the time, friends were welcome to join my fittings, and everything was amazingly relaxed and low-key. I was even encouraged to try on dresses I had no interest in (high couture can get a little weird) just for the fun of it!
The downside: You get what you pay for. A salon that deals only with designers and not knockoffs is pricey. Here, the low end is $2k, and there isn?t much selection unless you get at least up to 3. Don?t even walk in the store unless you can afford that, because you will fall in love with a dress and never be happy with anything afterwards. I was thrilled with my dress, but I will say that I spent more that I had originally planned. Do New Natalie?s and the like first, because they will make you appreciate Kelly?s that much more.
- Pros: Variety of styles, no-pressure atmosphere
- Cons: $$$
Great dresses, just don't ask for Danielle!!!!
by savoir80
I was looking for a shorter dress for my wedding. The saleswomen suggested that I try on some dresses from the boutique and the bridesmaids dresses that would also work as wedding gowns. I guess that Danielle thought that since I was trying on the dresses that were under their average $2,000-7,000 price-point, that I was cheap as well! After trying on a couple of horrible dresses that she suggested that didn't work for me at ALL, she made the snotty comment "Well, I don't think the other dresses in the store will work for you, because they're in the $2,000 and up range, and that's not what we want to spend. Is it?"
AAAUGGH!!!!!!!
Buying your wedding gown should make you feel good about yourself!
-NOT make you feel like Julia Roberts on Rodeo Drive in the movie Pretty Woman!!!!
Wedding dresses are the focus of this small shop, where women find their unique styles in unconventional gowns.

In Short
Hidden in Candler Park between the Flying Biscuit and an ice cream shop, this boutique is an unexpected source for wedding gowns and a quality find for stylish women's apparel. Traditional, modern, formal, simple, made from vintage lace or modeled after a corset: Dresses have unexpected details that will make you stand out from all the other brides. The staff can accommodate personal requests, such as adding beading to mimic a picture from a magazine.
A Wonderful Experience

I spent the day doing the "expected bridal salons" that you would visit while searching for a dress in Atlanta. I have to say, that I felt like I was buying a used car. My last stop was Kelly's Closet and I could not have been happier. The setting was comfortable and not invasive at all. I felt zero sales pressure and actually had fun. The staff is very friendly and fun. The dresses are all very unique and well done and the prices are reasonable. I can not say enough of my experience and I HIGHLY recommend this boutique as a stop on the search for the perfect dress.
- Pros: Wonderful Staff, great dresses, and fun atmosphere
Wonderful Staff!

The service I got at Kelly's was the best I've encountered so far! Alisa helped me and was wonderful and honest. I don't think I found my dress there, they are over what I want to spend, but after being to several other boutiques, I definitely recommend trying them out!
- Pros: great staff
