Best to go there drunk

I've been there 20+ times and usually enjoy my experience. If you're a first timer it helps to go there after you've had a few drinks. Tuesday is karaoke night which draws a nice size crowd, only problem is the dancers hate dancing to the lame songs and usually get off the stage after one dance, and there are usually only 3-4 dancers that night. Wednesday and Thursday nights are fairly calm. I wouldn't suggest going on Saturday nights, there's a $10 cover and it's waaaaay crowded and hot. I went in the dead of summer and almost passed out from the heat and smoke. NOTE: IF YOU'RE GOING TO SIT AROUND THE BAR TIP!!! If not leave the bar and let the people reaching over your shoulders to sit. Nothing makes a stripper more angry then not tipping. AND don't tease the dancers! They have attitudes and won't tolerate that. Drinks are cheap and strong! usually $4 mixed drinks, but I wouldn't recommend getting well drinks, you can upgrade for cheap too, $5 Absolute and Cranberry.

Low lifes

Go if you want, I loved it until last weekend. Just remember the other patrons are not the only thing you have to worry about. The staff/ security are not exactly fair and reasonable administrators of justice, and if you have the misfortune to be there when something goes wrong, enjoy trying to have a rational conversation with someone while you're in a headlock. Anything that happens there, stays there, which is why people love it, but remember the flip side: if something bad happens there, that stays there too. I literally watched the DJ beat up a crippled guy while security held him on the ground and took his cane--for trying to request a song. Anyone who tried to intervene was promptly put in a headlock and dragged out. Complaining about wrongdoing at a dirty strip joint is like complaining that there were strippers there. You have no credibility and no one cares.

Worst experience ever!!!

My 30 minute experience doesn't really differ from most bad experiences already posted. 1st we had to wait in line and pay a $10 cover. 2nd, when we got in there, there was no where to sit. we had to stand against the filthy wall. And the strippers really did age between 25-75 ( that was the most entertaining part). But what i had an issue with was the fact since there wasn't a place to sit down the staff (the long haired a**hole) was screaming at the people that was there trying to enjoy themselves, to get the f**k out the way. then the waitress did the same thing only moments after the bouncer did. this is bad customer service. so if you don't mind the staff disrespecting you...this is the place for you. But it doesn't end there....next thing you know a fight broke out between the security (still the same long hair guy) and a customer. i'm not quite sure what started it but i did see the bouncer bust the dude in the nose with a flashlight and blud when everywhere!! splattering a few others (gross). But what do you expect when your staff is cussing everyone out to move out the way in a small packed filled place? immediately after while the other bouncers was saving the long hair guy from getting his butt kick, another fight broke out on the other side of the bar (which that one was instigated by the DJ). so if you don't mind this type of environment, this is the place for you....

A fun place to party with friends

The Clermont Lounge is not for the faint hearted. My daughter and her friends introduced me to a new way of having a good time. Needless to say the Clermont is the place to go when you want to impress friends and not care what they say. Party on Summer, Stephanie, Barry White, Scott, Deb , Colby and Nancy. The Clermont Rocks.

I went to the dirtiest bar ever seen last Sat. I can't imagine how filthy the ice is but that's irrelevant. While I was there I touched a small janky disco ball and I felt a substantial thump on the back of my head. I turned around and said some raunchy sloppy brunette chick who turned out to be the manager (that's you Ms. Martin) was screaming get the f**k out over and over. This all caught me off guard I asked the guy that punched me what was that for and he said something about the disco ball. Now there were several bouncers waiting to jump on me (over nothing I might add). A tap on the shoulder and warning would have sufficed. Turns out that the guy who punched me was some lame Prince wanna be DJ named "quazi" (coward). I shouldn't have been the one to calm down the situation, isn't that what they are paid to do? The obese bouncer in front would not give me the manager or owners name to make a complaint. The claremont honestly seems like it should be on skid row the only draw are the old cracked out strippers which they as well start doing barn yard shows there, it's the perfect venue. I was not kicked out or asked to leave which shows I couldn't have been in the wrong. They all seemed to be more intoxicated than they needed to be. rspadoni721@y....

best customer service and funniest place in atl

The Clermont Lounge is definitely not for the faint of heart, I'll tell you that much. The drinks are strong and cheap, the staff is friendly and accomodating, and the strippers (though extremely nice) are nothing less than old and hideous. It was freaking hilarious. The first time I was there my friend and I got a lap dance from the most attractive girl (who was still a beast) and she was so drunk she forgot to get our money for the dance. If you are ever in Atlanta on a Saturday night do yourself a favor and stop by the Clermont for a nightcap. I promise it'll be an experience you'll never forget.

You're still a yuppy

First of all, all these people wo say they got drunk at the Clermont are serious light-weights. I wasted so much money trying to get a buzz on I had no cash left for the strippers!

There are basically 3 kinds of people at the Clermont

1) People who actually get off on watching senior-citizens strip.

2) People who think think grandmothers who have to strip to pay the bills is a funny situation--sadly this is more common the first category.

3) And the biggest category of all: tourists and yuppy slime. People who think that they've found "the real underground Atlanta." Yeah right, you and a thousand other white-bread yuppies.

• Cons: locals know you're an out-of-towner trying to look cool

For a good laugh

My fiance and I came to Atlanta for the weekend specifically to go to the strip clubs. I have been to many different strip clubs in many different States but I have NEVER seen anything like the Clermont. We had a great time. I can?t remember the last time I laughed so hard! It is a jaw dropping experience that you have to witness for yourself. The staff is very friendly and the waitresses are fast and attentive. Even if you just pop in for 1 beer you will be glad you did.

welcome to the freak show

This is the most bizzare place i have ever seen. The strippers are either 60+ years old or covered with body hair and tattoos. If you've ever wanted to see a woman crush a beer can with her breasts, or see a 65 year old woman strip and give a lap dance,then hey you better hustler on over to the Clermont. We had a fun time only because the place is so freaky you can't help but laugh.
