Love Irish music? Love Irish booze? Love the Highlands? You'll love Limerick Junction.... I certainly do!
- Pros: Classic Irish pub
- Cons: NOTHING!
Fun all night long

Went to this bar for the first time a couple of weeks ago and had a fantastic time. The atmosphere in the bar was very friendly, just what you'd expect from a bar in Ireland. The live music was varied and frequently involved the audience adding to the fun. The bar staff, while always busy, were friendly and kept up with the drink orders. The icing on the cake for me was a group of Scots (who I am told are regulars) who made me laugh and sing so hard it physically hurt. All in all a great bar for great music and great fun.
- Pros: Great atmosphere
- Cons: Can get a bit crowded
Enjoyable Thursday night

Had a great time while looking for a place to watch the Finals, the Braves game, AND live music WITH good food and brews. My friend was ordering Bass on tap, which ran out, so the bartender brought his next pick "on the house". After Bass was re-tapped he then brought out one "on the house" as well all with a smile having us feel like one of his close friends. Chris Ricker played and was amazing, conversational, and interacted very well with the audience -- laughing and playing everyone's suggestions as well as some of his favorites. It wasn't too crowded and I really felt like I got away from the whole trendy college scene. To think!?!? right in the middle of Va.Highlands and NOT trendy??? nice. This place is definitely going to be one of my new favorite hang outs.
- Pros: Food, Brew, Live Musicians
an ok place to grab a pint

first off the cover on weekends is $5. why does this bar charge a cover? i'd rather just tip the performer like any other bar with a "house" performer and the performer would actually of gotten more then $5 from me. pretty much a typical bar except for the live irish music, which is good and people in the bar join in which creates a fun atmosphere. there is the usual beer selection. i've never had their food so i cant comment on that. i go here once in a while, but its never my first choice for a bar to visit in the highlands.
- Pros: irish music
- Cons: cover charge
My favorite bar in Atlanta

I LOVE Limerick Junction! I've been a regular for a couple of years now and its just a great place to hang out, drink beer and sing Irish songs. When i go its usually in the late afternoon, so there's no problem finding a seat. On the weekends though...i recommend getting there b/f 9pm if you want a seat. Also I highly recommend going to see Chris Ricker, who plays there a lot.
- Pros: atmosphere, beer, cheap, good food
- Cons: can get crowded, parking
Take a virtual trip to Ireland at this spirited pub offering live music, free popcorn and plenty of pints.

In Short
Named after a train station in the small Irish city, Atlanta's oldest Irish pub appropriately resides on the most bar-tastic block on North Highland Ave. Railroad signs, Irish paraphernalia, and a few tastefully positioned flatscreens adorn the walls giving it a classic feeling with just the right touch of everyday modern. The inviting bar draws a more local and eclectic group of bar-goers than your typical Va-Hi locale, pulled in by live Irish bands, properly poured Guinness and cheap, feel-good pub fare. Traditional Irish soda bread, bangers and mash and shepherd's pie all ring under $10 and are better than you'd expect. There's rarely a slow night at the Virginia-Highland mainstay, and weekends get especially crowded. If you're on a budget, raid the free, serve-it-yourself popcorn machine in the back.
Best Damn Pub in Highlands

If I had to pick one bar to go to in the Highlands, this one would be it. Though it does get crowded, that only adds to the atmosphere of the place. The wait staff is very friendly and is attentive without being pushy, the drinks are priced reasonably, and the music is fantastic. Even on a rainy Tuesday night there are enough people to show up and make this place fun. The live music is almost always Irish folk singers (not the lame kind), and they always encourage crowd participation and singing. Go to this place if you want to be guarunteed a great time. And don't miss the free popcorn in the back!
- Pros: Live music, Free Popcorn, Atmosphere
- Cons: Sometimes TOO Crowded
A pub for everyone

The limerick is a great neighborhood bar. We love the entire staff! They know all the regulars by name. It's fun any day of the week. Happy hour is quiet and a good time to talk with freinds. Weekend nights it's a good place to meet people and listen to a live band.
- Pros: staff, value, seating
- Cons: smokey after 9:00pm, loud on weekends
Sassy Lasses

Lots of neighborhood atmosphere, the best Guinness in town, and friendly, yet not cloying, sassy service.
- Pros: Guinness, service, great cheap food
- Cons: parking, buckhead weekends
