For you "non-damn-Yankees" the real name for the famous Boston bar and setting for the TV series, "Cheers!" is "The Bull & Finch Pub". Atkin's Park has exactly that type of old school, down-to-earth hospitality, drinker's bar, and a consistantly tastey menu. I actually met my now wife there some 8 years ago. Atkin's is divided into (at least) two distinct scenes: the restaurant side is a more private area with tall booths while the bar side transforms from a quiet daytime bar scene into a lively bar scene by night. As for the (obviously OTP) folks who went there after IMAX, sorry, Va Hi does not cater to the Applebee's crowd. When you are there on a Friday night, it *will* be crowded. Say hi to Irv for me...
Pros: well pured drinks, great late food menu, great brunch!
Cons: hmmm...???-none.
