Great facial but a bruising massage
by finngirl at Citysearch
I visited this spa in May 2008 and booked a facial for me and a couples massage for my husband and myself. I'm a very regular spa goer (usually at least monthly) and have experienced the highs and lows in various spas in a few different states. In this case the facial was so awesome; my skin felt nourished and balanced and was baby soft. I have a fabulous aesthetician back home in FL and I don't normally let anyone else touch my skin, but this facial was right up there with hers and I would recommend it to anyone. I also liked all of the products used throughout my spa visit and appreciated the freedom to choose which aromas would be incorporated in my services; I even purchased a couple items at the end of the day. My husband really enjoyed his massage, however, that is where my glowing review ends.
My massage turned out to be disastrous. I don't mind feeling muscle soreness (like after a good workout-that is kind of the point afterall) but this guy wrecked my back. By the same night my husband pointed out that my lower back was covered with horrible bruises and that finally explained why it was painful when anything touched it. It looked like someone had kidney punched me several times and it made my 5.5 hour ride home and subsequent days of healing pretty miserable. It is a shame b/c my therapist seemed like a really nice guy with a great personality and I enjoyed our chat during the treatment, but I'll definitely request to have someone else if I ever build up the courage to get a massage there again-Yikes!
- Pros: You almost don't want to wash the products off your skin you smell so great afterward!
- Cons: It's a roll of the dice whether your massage is relaxing or excruciatingly painful.
Fancy, Expensive and not worth it

We were very disappointed with Jurlique. This nationally known chain, in the intercontinental hotel had so much potential, but the people are rude. I had a swedish massage and a facial which were extremely disappointing. I could hear people arguing right outside the door.
- Cons: Expensive
Stay Away

I went to Jurlique with my wife because this was the only place in atlanta where we could get a Shiatsu massage. Unfortunately on the day of our appointment , the therapist did not show up and we were offered a swedish massage with another therapist. We both declined and left the hotel. Only to find out that our credit card was charged for the massages we never got.
Katie and Andrea are the best!!!
by clark209 at Citysearch
I started going to Jurlique when I was 7 months pregnant and saw Andrea Walman for a prenatal massage. She gave me the best massage I have ever had!! She customized my massage to fit my needs and even put eucaliptys(?) oil on my pillow because I had a stuffy nose. It was and still is the massage I have ever had. I have recently seen Katie Kilgore for a facial and she did the same. She customized my facial to fit my needs and was informative about her techniques but didn't disturb me from relaxing. The spa rooms are really cozy and the staff is a breath of fresh air from most spas in the area. Everyone is so relaxed and the spa experience starts from the moment you walk through the elavator door.
- Pros: atmosphere, service, products, relaxing
Best Spa in Atlanta
by faith424 at Citysearch
What a great getaway without getting away. The highly trained staff made all the difference. There organic products were a refreshing change. My friends and I made a day of it working out in their great gym facility, going for a swim, sitting by the jacuzzi and of course the wonderful treatments. All the staff was warm and friendly. After this we all had Lunch at the hotels popular Aud pied de cochon.
My favorite place...
by jennafeather at Citysearch
I love Jurlique. It's truly one of my favorite places in the city. The atmosphere is calm and clean, with great service and attentive staff. My job requires me to make reservations for others in addition to myself and I love than an uneducated teenager never answers the phone to take reservations (like some of the other spas in ATL). The facials are to die for, and the products are so refreshingly gentle on the skin. Also, their great location allows easy access to the mall pre-experience, and to drinks in the bar afterward. I love this place... my favorite way to spend the day!
Aromatherapy and naturally pure products are the foundation for this chichi Buckhead spa's superior treatments.

The Scene
This elegant spa (which used to be Quintessence) sticks to classic therapies. Jurlique's showcase spa features only the Australian line of organic beauty products. Step inside the spa, relocated in the InterContinental hotel, and the Peachtree traffic fades to lavender scents (for sale, of course).
The Services
The simple menu of treatments looks almost boring, without any exotic-sounding therapies; results compensate for lack of variety. The spa uses clean, chemical-free products and gives one of the best facials you'll experience in Atlanta. All of the treatments use aromatherapy, but the lavender body therapy with steam really takes advantage of the relaxing practice. Add steam to any body treatment, and you'll be placed in one of the tile-walled wet rooms.
The Details
Massage, body treatments, hair removal, hand and foot treatments.
Former Massage therapist of Quintessence

Julique products are the best quality spa products you will find anywhere in the world . Even though the products tend to be on the higher end, they are the real deal. I have used other aromatherapy products and have never been as pleased with other companies as with Jurlique massage lotions and aromatherapy blends. I continue to use these products to provide the best for my own private clients. spa services and treatments were outstanding. Many high end spas use jurlique aromatherapy products because they produce great results. We had many loyal clients because Quintessence simply was not only a great company, but the best spa I've ever worked in. The Jurlique concept spa is considered one of the best among celebrities, sports figures, and clientele from all walks of life. You will not be dissapointed!
- Pros: Aromatherapy products, Quality
Jurlique Day Spa----Spend your money elsewhere
by spadiva35 at Citysearch
For Spa week I get an email for a signature facial for $50. The sitting area is a small table with a seat in the corner (read...bad school kid section). There is no sauna area in the locker room. Although they said I could use the fitness center while there for any service, it was locked and no one offered to show me the facilities although I asked. The quiet room was small and co-ed so make sure your robe is tied tight. In the treatment room sheets were cold, you could hear the traffic on Peachtree and they were moving furniture or holding wrestlemania tryouts in the floor below. The facial was okay and the total bill is $73. What happened to $50. The gratuity is automatically added on but no one explained that ahead of time or in the flyer. Then they started to push the products.
- Pros: Location
- Cons: Price, Treatment Rooms, Cheesey Robes

The "Good Skin Basics" facial here really is amazing. So relaxing and I really did feel like I was glowing afterwards. You get a great massage and I love their products. They are very expensive though.
- Pros: Experts, Great Products, Very Professional
- Cons: Expensive, Long, No makeup afterewards
