Boxwoods Garden and Gifts
by terryhuskey
From the minute you walk into Boxwoods, you are amazed at all the activity.. People smiling while picking up the perfect gift for that special person. You find things here that other places are hard pressed to get. Boxwoods has the best selection of small gifts to the most elaborate. I love going in at Christmas time.. so much goodness follows you from room to room of perfectly decorated trees and tables full of unique gifts. The plants seem to always be blooming here . The sales staff is always ready and willing to help, if they do not know the answer to your question, you can bet they will find the answer quickly all the while speaking to people along the way.. True professionals.. Check it out soon, cause Christmas is just knocking on the door..Enjoy it as much as i do.
- Pros: Great experience
West Buckhead's quintessential cottage shop: part gift store, part nursery and part antique shop.
by Contributor
The Scene
Atlantans turn to this ivy-covered cottage for tasteful gifts, from pink taffeta baby books to creamy white orchids. The cozy rooms are loosely divided by theme, such as silver and tabletop, men, baby and kitchen. A courtyard full of garden statuary leads to surprisingly large nursery areas and a charming, old-fashioned conservatory. During peak seasons, the shop hums like a beehive with shoppers of all ages.
The Goods
Boxwoods' gift selection runs from trendy to classic, with items like chenille teddy bears, leather frames, needlepoint dog pillows and antler candelabra. The store is known for clever birdfeeders, made out of unconventional materials like silver bowls and china cups. The nursery specializes in perennials, orchids and, of course, boxwood. There's also a wide selection of garden containers and cachepots.
