Jalisco Mexican Restaurant

I know this place has been here for 29 years so they must be doing something right.... but the service is horrible. I like to eat my food and possibly order another drink before the check is put in front of me (it practically came with the delivery of the food). The server never returned to the table after that ... not even to bus the dirty plates we were finished with. The food is okay.. but I much prefer El Azteca just down the street and not in a strip mall. Not worth the 30 min wait to get in.

Pros: decent food

Cons: crowded, bad service, no margaritas!

The food was okay, nothing special just average. I've had better food at chain Mexican places such as On the Border, El Azteca, Rio Grande, etc. They do not serve margaritas! What kind of mexican restaurant doesn't serve margaritas?! The service was awful! We ordered the queso dip and asked for NO jalepnos, it comes out with tons of jalepenos. My husband ordered a Modelo Negro, the server brought out a Dos Equis. The server dropped the food, two minutes later came to check on us, dropped the check (two minutes after we got our food) and never returned! Never came back to see if we needed another round of drinks, desert, or even to bus a dish! We will never go back.

Pros: Kid Friendly

Cons: No margaritas, long wait, bad service.

As I read the other reviews I can't help think, "Are we talking about the same place??" I ate here once and could hardly finish the meal. The food is horrible! I tried it again despite my first experience thinking I went on a bad night so I'd give it another try, but the food was even worse. The service is good and so is the beer. You can't mess up beer, by the way, they don't have a liquor license so margaritas aren't available. I would need a few of these to get through my next meal. I really can't comprehend why this place is so crowded. People are drawn to crowds and some how, the crowd has brainwashed their customers taste buds. I'm sorry to give such a harsh review, but basically, the food is not good. I won't be returning unless the kitchen steps it up, a lot.

The meals are tasty and the staff is friendly. I have the enchilladas everytime I go there. Everyone should have some Jalisco in their life!!!

For Mexican, you can't beat Jalisco is Buckhead, or rather Atlanta. Some of the best service, friendly wait staff, greeeeat food. Would eat there 3 times a week or more.

Pros: Prices, Service, Location

Cons: Crowded, but worth the wait if there is one

We have been going here for so many years, I can't remember how many. Just good honest, basic Mexican fare, and is it ever fast. Many of our neighbors have their names on little brass markers, for their favorite seats. No fancy gourmet preparations, the combo's are on target, and so are the prices for lunch!

Pros: Good Basic Combo's! Great Lunch Prices!

Cons: Get's Very Busy At Lunch!

I have moved from Atlanta to Florida and miss this place so much! Very friendly and GREAT food! The salsa is the best anywhere, hands down. Great prices and very family friendly. Will go back when visiting without question.

this is the best mexican restaraunt in atlanta and in the worldand to think about it is not only the best mexican restaraunt it is the BEST RESTARAUNT IN THE WORLD!!!!!!! p.s. i highly recomend a bean burrrito supremo and the cheese didp with jalepenos and if you are southern there sweet tea is divine!!!!!

Jalisco is my absolute favorite restaurant! My family goes there ever wednesday without fail, and sometimes even comes back friday. The service is quick and friendly and love kids. And the cheese dip is amazing! And the decorations are collected from all over in Mexico. Definitely a restaurant that cares about their customers coming back or even becoming regulars.

I have been going to Jalisco for years, the food is excellent and they have the fastest service in town. This is not your get drunk on margaritas type of place but it is for people who love great mexican food.
