Henri' Thanksgiving Dinner
by labradorite
November 28, 2008
The Henri?s Thanksgiving Dinner was something to be thankful for if you did not have to eat it. I was so disappointed. For the price I was expecting a nice dinner. The gravy tasted like chicken soup. Potatoes were used instead of the advertised giblets. The dressing was not even dressing; it was a corn cake with jalape?os in it. We could not eat it. The ?pumpkin pie? was soggy, and much too sweet. The Turkey was overcooked. The dressing was so bad I took it back the next day. I was told no refunds! I can certainly understand why.
- Cons: I had poor food and poor customer service

I've been going here since I could barely walk. The quality is second to none from the sandwiches to the cookies to the pastries. Everything is made fresh daily and they donate to the mission the rest after the days end because they don't use preservatives (I'm a health nut and hate preservatives.) I can't think of a better feel good place to go sit on the deck and have lunch or have a stress free catered party where they take care of it all for me.
Great food, can be crowded, WAY overpriced

Henri's is just around the corner from my office, and I love their sandwiches, sweets, and baked goods. It's a great place to grab a quick bite or satisfy your sweet tooth. The biggest thing I object to is their prices. Small cookies for $1.05? A basic sandwich for nearly $6.00? Definitely a great place, but usually not worth premium prices! Also, beware of the lunch crown during the week, especially at high noon.
- Pros: Baked goods - among the best in Atlanta
- Cons: Prices - way too high
Good Po Boys and baked goods

This place is one reason I miss living in Buckhead. The Po Boy sandwiches are very good, although they can be dry sometimes. Make sure to grab a mustard packet or horseradish i the dining area. The seating area is okay for lunch, but nothing special. I'd recommend picking up lunch and heading to a local park. The baked goods are all excellent. My personal favorite is the Mediterranean cookie - I wish I had the recipe for that one. The chocolate eclairs and macaroons are also outstanding. Their thanksgiving catering is just okay - in my opinion Fresh Market has better dressing and sides.
I hope they're around forever.
- Pros: great food, lots of tempting choices
- Cons: not enough parking - it gets ridiculous around lunchtime
Absolutely horrible cakes

We just purchased a small sheet cake from Henri's for a celebration. It was the worst cake I have ever had. It was extremely dry (and expensive). I have never felt so ripped off at a piece of bakery. What's worse, is the embarrassment of watching people trying to eat the cake and not say how terrible it was. Never again. PS - This was not a custom made cake. It was what they had on-hand. Regardless, they should not have sold a cake so old, especially for $25.
- Pros: Good donuts
- Cons: Terrible cakes
Still Good After All These Years! Love The Po'Boys!

No this is not a Paul Simon song/review. But I've been going here since I was a kid. The baked good assortment is basically the same, but it seems a little dated since Whole Foods is now around the corner. We still love the cheese straws. But the original Roast Beef Po' Boy, is still the star. Beef, pickles, mayo, and that crusty French Bread. Just grab one, since they are already made up. Add a Dr. Brown's soda, and you have a perfect lunch, head out to the patio, in this nice weather.
- Pros: Roast Beef Po'Boy! Cheese Straws!
- Cons: Parking Can Be Tight!

Henri's Bakery is the bakery in Atlanta for cookies, cakes and pies. One whiff of the delectable treats and you know that you are so close to heaven. The chefs at Henri's Bakery know quality and spare no expense with the pastry's. They will even make something for you if you don't see it there. The only downside is that you must order everything ahead for holidays or you run the risk of not being able to get what you want. Yummy!
PROS: Delicious Works of Art
CONS: Order early for holidays

I was referred to Henri's by a friend. We were in need of a birthday cake. I picked up one of the most beautiful cakes I have ever seen. The cake decoration was truly a work of art. The cake itself was dry, bland and consequently not good at all. If you need a camera-ready dessert. This is the place for you.
PROS: very pretty cakes
CONS: very bad tasting cakes
