Recommend making reservations, or you could wait some time to be seated. Took my husband there for his birthday dinner and it was very good. I had told the reservationist beforehand that it was his birthday and everyone from the host, servers made a note to mention "Happy Birthday" to him. We tried the house special lobster as an appetizer and it was very good, with wonderful sauces. I had a crab chowder which could have been more flavorful - not to thick, though and that's what I prefer. My husband had the ribeye, I had the pan roasted chicken - and they were both absolutely delicious. Dessert, we had rum raisin bread pudding. Also very tasty.
I give this two thumbs up! Attentive service, delicious food, a bit pricey.
- Pros: good, attentive service, delicious food
- Cons: Smoky, pricey
Don't go if you're not rich looking

Was approached as I walked in and told that what I was wearing was not appropriate attire for the restaurant. Was wearing nice button down shirt with cargo style pants, and my wife was wearing a sweater and slacks. My son is 5 and was wearing what all 5 year olds wear. Saw on the website that the restaurant was supposed to be "upscale casual", however was then informed at the door after making a reservation the it was "Business Casual" which apparently includes a tie and jacket. I wear equipment every day in afghanistan that is more expensive than this guy's entire wardrobe and he has the nerve to say he won't serve me and my family. What a way to treat a Vet. Do not go unless you are trying to impress your date with how much money you are willing to waste for no real purpose. Ended up going to Ruth's Chris Steak House. Had a GREAT waiter, great food, awesome ambiance. Chops is for suckers.....
- Pros: Nice looking place till you meet the staff
- Cons: Staff rude and condescening

First visit was not so hot. Steaks were average, service was average, ambience was like a fancy Longhorn., crowded and noisy. Crab cakes were TERRIFIC!
Not worth $100 a pop.

This is one of my parents favorite restaurants. Yes, the food is pricey, but the restaurant is as much about the experience and service as it is about the food. It's always a treat to go to Chops, you know you will be well taken care of!

If you are on a budget this is not the place for you. TOO pricey.
The food was O.K. I would not go back because I this I can get the same food some place else for a muck cheaper price.

This is a very upscale restaurant that I would reccommend to anyone that loves fine dining!!! The food is sensationable... The dishes are expensive, but who cares gas is nearly $5.00 a gallon so why not pay good money for good food and great service!!!
- Pros: Great steaks!
- Cons: A little pricey!
Best Steak Experience in Town!

I had a business lunch at Chops recently (we ate upstairs - I think Lobster Bar isn't open for lunch) and it the experience was flawless. We had crabcakes (which were so full of crab meat - almost no breading) and lobster bisque to start and steaks for main course. All of the steaks were cooked perfectly to our specifications. The servers were impressive because they provided everything we needed before we could even ask - a great advantage when you're trying to have a meeting. Usually, I wouldn't get dessert at lunch, but the creme brulee piled high with gorgeous fresh berries was well worth the exception. All in all, it was a great experience and far exceeded all expectations. Chops is the first place on my list of great lunch (and dinner, I'm sure) spots!
- Pros: quick, unobtrusive service and perfectly prepared steaks & seafood
- Cons: none - this place is fan-freaking-tastic
Not understanding the bad reviews.

I have dined at Chops a handfull of times over the past year and each time have been very impressed. The staff was friendly, the steak was prepared exactly to my liking. Our waiter was an expert in wine paring, and made our experience very enjoyable. Hands down the best steak house I've been to in Atlanta.
- Pros: Service, Food in general
- Cons: Chairs were a little uncomfortable.
The standard in steak!

Chops, like the other restaurants in the Buckhead Life Group, has always been the standard in its niche! My husband and I celebrated my birthday there recently, and on all accounts we thoroughly enjoyed the experience...from the server, to the time it took for the meal to arrive, to the food itself and of course the atmosphere, we couldn't have been more pleased. When we tell others that these are some of our favorite restaurants, the comment we most often hear is that they tend to be expensive. For us, it is all about value, and we truly believe we get that at Chops! The portions are generous, so plan to go hungry!!!
