Decadent cheesecakes and classic American cuisine makes this a popular chain.

by Contributor at Citysearch

In Short
Faux-rustic finishes and colorful light fixtures abound at this almost always crowded chain. The thick-as-a-book menu features Americanized versions of worldly cuisines--Mexican, Vietnamese, Italian, Thai--but succeeds best with American classics. Burgers are a good choice, especially the ""Roadside Sliders,"" mini burgers served as appetizers. The myriad cheesecakes are over-the-top in concept and decadence. You'll leave full, with leftovers.

Excellent food and service...

by TheFreakos at Citysearch

We frequent the Peachtree store quite often and have never walked away disappointed. The food has always been top notch as well as the service. The Buffalo Blasters, Cajun Ribeye, Burger, any of the pasta dishes...everything we have tried on the menu has been to die for. The service has always been over the top, they even brought out banana slices for my 9 month old daughter while we were waiting for our food. The course timing has always been perfect, the servers actually watch and have it down to a science. The only thing that gets me is the disclaimer the servers make when you order your food (i.e. explaining in more detail what is in the dish you are ordering). It seems there is a group of people is Atlanta who cannot read a menu and expect their meal compensated for when "they" didn't realize there were mushrooms or garlic sauce on the food they ordered. The menu explains everything just fine and I've come to the realization that there is a "group" always complaining to get something free in this part of the country. With that said, I think the CheeseCake Factory should stick to their guns and said you ordered it, you eat it and you pay for it. Anyways...great food....great service. It can be crowded at primetime, so it's one of those go early or go late and you'll more and likely get seated quickly. The noise level sometimes can get a little loud but nothing too intrusive. As for the desserts, as the name implies......one word......HEAVEN for a person with a sweet tooth. I don't eat cheesecake but my wife and older daughter swear by this place and their several different versions of it. We always get a piece to go since we usually are too stuffed to eat it there.

  • Pros: great food, service, desserts
  • Cons: can be crowded--wait time, sometimes noisy

worst hostess ever

by kellyrubylin at Citysearch

What A Night!!!

we were supposed to have dinner @The Cheesecake Factory, Santa Anita.

it was my husband bday, table for 8, the hostess ask us to wait 60-85 minutes

we didn't mind, because if u book table for less than 6 ppls, it won't take that long

while we waiting, a lot of ppls who came in after us had their table, 'cause it's table for 2-6 ppls

we waited for over 85 minutes, we still didn't got a table

we asked the hostess just to be sure for how long more

the hostess said "I know that I told u to wait 60-85 minutes, but if the customer still sitting down n talking, I can't tell them to leave"

what the ****, we didn't tell u to ask them to leave, we just ask when our table will be ready (we didn't said this to her, don't wanna be mean to her)

what a ****ing stupid, no manner hostess

unbelievable...

My boyfriend and I went here because I was DYING to go since I never been. I only ordered a huge chocolate cheesecake and sweet tea and I was pretty satisfied. The cheesecake was DELICIOUS! My boyfriend ordered a sub and I guess he didn't care for it too much. The bread they serve before and during meals are kind of gross. Prompt seating though and nice atmosphere. Waitress was nice.

Great For Family Dining

by babycakes84 at Citysearch

My family and I went to The Cheesecake Factory a while back for my brother's going away party and it was a very nice atmosphere to be in. Somewhat crowded, I guess because we went on a Saturday night, but all in all we had an excellent time. Prompt seating and the food was great, especially the cheesecake!

  • Pros: Great food and atmosphere
  • Cons: Crowded on weekends

Try the Tiramisu Cheesecake...you won't be sorry! :-)

by chrissy73 at Citysearch

Hard to believe that in all my 13 years living in Atlanta, it was only just recently that I dined there...it was me, my sister and Mom to celebrate sis' birthday. Expensive, yes...but worth it.

I agree with the editorial review...the interior design of this place was rather interesting (not bad, just interesting, depending on your taste) to say the least, but then again, we went there for the food, not for how the place looks. I went for a spicy chicken sandwich with chipotle sauce (amazing! I would definitely have it again); Mom, some sort of Japanese dish (I wish I could remember); and sis had a sort of pasta bolognese dish which I sampled and agreed that it was very good.

Then came the desserts. I had the Tiramisu cheesecake (oh, so good); Sis had a cheesecake with peanut butter in it; Mom had an Oreo cheesecake.

Also, service was very prompt. I have to give kudos to the waitstaff; they were very friendly and helpful.

  • Pros: Food, service...and oh, did I mention cheesecake?! :-)
  • Cons: a little noisy when I went, but tolerable.

Bad service, Horrible food

by mirth60 at Citysearch

We were looking for a late night dinner and settled on the Cheesecake Factory as a known menu throughout the US. The food took 45 to come to the table. The meatloaf and mashed potatoes were cold and tasted day as if the food had sat most of the day. The appetizer arrived with the main meal. Our water was never replenished. We had to wait 15 minutes to get our check. Skip this place. There's too many good restuarants surrounding it.

  • Pros: Nothing
  • Cons: Service

Best Veggie Burger in Atlanta

by atlsocialite00 at Citysearch

We went on a Saturday afternoon without reservations and found there to be no wait at all (valet, seating, etc). It was a nice sunny day, so we were able to snag a seat on the lovely outdoor patio. Our waiter was obviously new, but was courteous and prompt just the same. There are several things on the menu (not to mention the 30+ cheesecake choices), but rest assured that any selection is a good one. Being vegetarian, I was ready to order a salad and call it a day, but I came across their handmade Garden Burger with fries and Hollandaise sauce and had to give it a try. WOW! Hands down, the best veggie burger I've ever tasted! My date had steak and fries which he said was equally delicious.

This place is great for casual dining, and in the evenings becomes a bit dressier.

  • Pros: food variety, atmosphere, waitstaff
  • Cons: noise
