Good, but not great
by mnieto at Citysearch
Just had lunch there, and the food was good. Conveniently close to downtown hotels, frienldly staff. The buffettem, however, did not have enough dishes, so a lot o repeats. Goat dish was mostly bones, but all others were good. Not the best I have ever had, but not awful.
- Pros: Clean, location, ambience
- Cons: Buffet is kind of small
Fabulous Indian Restaurant

My husband and I had dinner at Haveli's and everything was great. We had samosas, saag, okra, dahl, nan, rice pudding and it was all great. The service was excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant. A real gem.
Delicious Northern Indian

Been going here for years and it is still the best in Atlanta!
- Pros: food is great! Raj is exceptional.
Avoid always - too expensive and not good food

I'm a consultant and been to some good and bad restaurants through my travels, this one has to rate amongst THE bottom. The food is not tasty or flavorful, just a big place with a lot of empty tables, location is great right in down town close to Westin, ambience is not too bad.
The menu is North Indian, but clearly owned and operating (importantly - cooking) is by bangladeshis..I don't know why they have to call the restaurant Indian cause clearly they don't know how to cook Indian food. I asked for spicy, they just dumped whole of chilli powder, reheated and brought it back. Service is ok. Beware, they include 15% tip automatically and you are not told of it. It is not as much as an issue as just food quality and value for money. exorbitantly priced.
Honestly, will never go there again, nor would recommend it to any one. too bad we stayed in downtown away from alpharetta and other places where all good Indian food restaurants are. anyway, next time I have to be in Atlanta and even if it were the only open restaurant around late. I wouldn't still go to it.
Haveli : Worst Restaurant in Atlanta

Bad food...
Rude Service...
Almost every item is leftovers..... and stale...
I recommend not to visit this restaurant even by chance.

I took my gf there last night - we got there at 8.15pm, there were 2 other couples there also finishing up their meal. I really like their Chicken Maghni, but their appetizers or Naan's are nothing to rave about. So at one point we were the only people there at that time and this place advertises opening hours until 10pm/10.30pm on sunday nights. Right before 9pm they decide to cut off the music completely and so for good 15 mins there was no music and the waiter (as unattentive as he had been the whole night) basically tried to hurry us out of there as he could. So all in all the service there is really rude - I regretted leaving them tips - they deserved a big zero ($0) - especially after charging us extra for one portion of Rice! I might consider this place for pickup only - but to dine in there - NEVER AGAIN!
- Pros: Chicken Maghni
- Cons: Service!
Exquisite Indian Cuisine
by robwood at Citysearch
Easy to get to with easy downtown parking, Haveli's Chef Raja and staff provided us an incredible meal with various levels of heat and a barrage of flavors certainly characteristic of authentic Indian cuisine. For he uneducated epicurean, Chef Raja enabled our outstanding meal by personally helping us choose Garlic Naan, Tandori Chicken, and Shrimp Vindaloo ? all Very Good!!
- Pros: Great Selection, Great Flavor, Easy access
- Cons: none
Great for vegetarians.

I too am surprised by the negative comments. I love this place. It's the only decent place around here where an vegetarian can eat something filling OTHER than tofu!
- Pros: Great vegetarian food.
- Cons: It is a bit pricey but if you use your downtown rewards card, you get a discount.
Nice Indian Restaurant

Good Indian Restaurant:
Food is good. I ordered Saag panner for dinner with Nans. It's awesome. I liked it very much. It's hot, spicy, tastey. The waiters are very nice and care with your specific needs in the food.
Pros: Location, Service, Food
Bad restaurant

Bad Indian restaurant..Bad Buffet..Been there twice for buffet and the food was horrible!
Ordered once on menu for dinner- expensive, stale, below average food.
The waiters are indifferent and rarely care with your specific needs in the food, if requested.
Needless to say not planning for a Fourth Rendezvous.
- Pros: Location
- Cons: Expensive, Small Serving Portions, Indifferent Staff
