I live in midtown and because of traffic it took us over an hour to get to the frog, but it was well worth the trip. The course is immaculate. We weren't paired up with another two-some (which is really rare these days). And our round didn't take 5 hours to play (another rarity in our golf obsessed society). All in all if you are looking to escape the headache of playing with strangers who are terrible, having a put zigzag through potholes, or hitting off of the concrete that is a fairway, go to The Frog. It is a little pricey, but you get what you pay for.
Pros: upkeep, staff, pace of play
Cons: not terribly long

Great layout for low handicapper, but but higher handicaps should bring esxtra balls.
Cons: lack of level lays, narrow fairways

Just not a good layout for a course this expensive. Too many blind tee shots. Even if you know the course, still leaves you guessing where to hit over hills.

Towne Lake Hills #1... whoa. Anybody who considers TLH to be the best course in Atlanta is doing the area a huge disservice! This is a well-maintained, but poorly designed course. It is not worthy of a top 20 rating, much less better than The Frog!!! Who got paid off for this rating! Course upkeep and difficulty are not the best measures of a golf course... TLH may be difficult, but it unreasonable. Fairways that have no landing zone and slope into a water hazard - crazy... no good shot goes unpunished! I shot an 83 my last time there and I have an honest 16 index. Presenting this course as #1 to someone unfamiliar with the area would make them swear off golf in Atlanta!
