Worst Staff ever

If they answer the phone, they put you on hold and never come back. They never call back, ever. If the DR requests a referral you never get it. The staff is rude and nasty, especially the girls at the front desk and whoever answers the phone.

The office is not kid friendly. Their instruments are decades old. There is a very rude woman DR. that you should definitely not allow your child to ever see. Seems like they finally got rid of the DR that always seemed very high on something. When my daughter broke her arm; my insurance company and I could not get ahold of anyone at this DR's office for two days. The phone was busy the entire time. My insurance co. had to finally bypass the DR. and do a self referral to an orthopedic.

As soon as my insurance allows I will be removing my children from this office at once.

• Cons: Staff, DR's, unfriendly manners

RUDE: The staff and half of the doctors are very rude. One woman doctor (heavy accent) told me not to let my son chew on batteries..... WHAT? I thought she was joking so I said "Well I usually let him chew on batteries after every meal and have target practice with knives" wow I guess she was not kidding because she gave me the most evil stink face I have ever seen! Then he was crying after his shots and so I was saying "It's okay baby it's alright" you know, what mommies do and she told me not to baby talk him! (He was 1 and a half) I was so angry I dressed him and took him out to the waiting area and told the nurse at the front that I never wanted to see that doctor again. Of course I went back a couple months later and who did they give me??? Same wench! UHHHGGGG

DIRTY::: I'm guessing the cleaning person doesnt come very often. At the least they could sweep I mean it is a doctors office....

They do not return messages and do not answer the phones... Its horrible! I left six messages in the past month and still no answer!

Not kid friendly at all. They have no sitting area for the kids...???? You would think.... never mind

Hate this place and am changing asap

• Pros: Theres a doc there named George I have only seen once but he is great!
• Cons: Too many to list... I did list them though

Dr's George and Gene are awesome!!

My mom took me to this pediatrician when I was younger and have known Gene and George for sometime. They are both very personable and great to work with - always answering all your questions. I now take my kids there but we will only see George or Gene. I have not had a very good experience with the other Dr's - ESPECIALLY Richard Baldwin - Wishing I could abbreviate his name if you know what I mean. I refuse to let my kids see him and even had it put on their charts. I will continue to see this pediatrician because of Gene and George but the service there is not so great. Phone calls are never returned, it's about impossible to speak to a human being, the waiting room is not very kid friendly for a pediatricians office. I give it a 4 because of the doctors only - they really do know what they are doing and I would always trust George and Gene with my kids!

Horrible office.

Dr.s there are great however, you are only as good as your staff. The staff is unkind, not willing to help, they do not return phone calls or do what they say. I can expect to be on hold off & on for at least 45 minutes. Then I get someone to answer the phone just to tell me to hold please before they even let me speak. Then I'm disconnected! It's a vicious cycle I don't have to put up with. I hope this prevents anyone else from choosing this office & going thru what you have to endure just to get to speak to a human being here. There are more cons as well, lack of parking & the office is filthy.

DR MELINDEZ IS GREAT WITH MY KIDS ALWAYS VERY HELPFULL AND EXTRA FRIENDLY . THE OFFICE NEEDS HELP . I CAN NEVER GET ANYONE TO ANSWER THE PHONE THE ONLY WAY I CAN GET A CALL BACK IS TO CALL AFTER HOURS TO THE ANSWERING SERVICE FOR HELP . THEY REALLY NEED MORE SPACE IN OFFICE AND MORE STAFF TO HANDLE PHONE CALLS AND APPT .

Dr. George is GREAT

Dr. Goerge is wonderful with kids and parents, I have been using this office for 19 yrs and he has always been great with my kids and now my grandson, but i have to agree with the last review, some of the new office staff seems to not know or not care about their jobs, they do not return calls - atleast in a timely manner, and are not at all friendly. I do recommend George although i can't say that all the Dr's have the same kid friendly manner, but i wish they would take a second look at the office staff.

Dr. Harkins is wonderful

I have known George for about 20 yr's now, and he is just a hoot. He is wonderful with the kids. I will hate it so much when he does retire. The only complaint I have is the location of their Douglasville office. It is much too small now, due to the tremendous growth here. They need an office about 5 times the size of the present location. Also some of the new office girls are not very friendly and do not seem to know what they are doing. He needs to hire me there. *smooches* Dr. George Ya know I love ya. Love, Prissy
