I don't usually like to eat at chain restaurants and almost always stick to locally owned places. I was pleasantly surprised when we took my mother here at her request. The food was good, the atmosphere was a little noisy but it is more of a family restaurant, service was good and the food was excellent!

  • Pros: you can order light portions (which is plenty of food!)

I've been here quite a few different times. Their virgin bahamarita keeps me coming back and they have really good jerkchicken/carribean food, but there have been instances where their service is horrible. The hostess/host doesn't really care that you're there, the food was kind of bland, and it was just a horrible experience that one time. I tried not to let it get to me, but I had brought one of my friends who insisted that their service is bad. The second time I brought her, it was equally as bad and she refuses to go with me again.

  • Pros: drinks, seafood, spice
  • Cons: service

I've driven by for years and even drove through the valet once to see how long the wait would be (60-90 minutes). On my only visit, I found that things had really gone down at this restaurant. When I arrived at 7:00 p.m. on a Friday night, the parking lot was almost empty. There was an ugly road block to keep customers out of some disgusting gravel parking lot, but no valet to be found. This should have been my first clue. The hostesses were in outer space and never spoke to me. One took menus and just started walking away, while the other one pointed the way the first was walking (as if I was a mind reader). The server took 15 minutes to come to my table. He looked like a guy that holds signs up at stop lights begging for money. He looked like he crawled out of his cardboard box and had just came into work, smelled terrible (B.O.) and was unshaven. His greeting at the table was " That sux, you're by yourself. " I wasn't sure if he was flirting or making fun of the fact that I did not have a date on a Friday night. Either way, it made me feel uncomfortable. Later, while waiting for my drinks, I watched my waiter and a rather round, short manager laughing and talking in the corner service station for at least 15 minutes while I was dying of thirst. When I ordered my dinner, the kitchen was out of the first three selections that I made. I can understand not having tomatoes with the recent scare, but to not have a fish special, steak, and sweet potatoes was not what I expected for the high menu prices. I finally chose the Seafood Paella and waited 50 minutes for my dinner to be in front of me. The server delivering the plate left his thumb print on the edge of my bowl with some brown colored food/ trash. I pointed this out to my server who took his dirty apron and wiped the rim. I asked for a manager and although the plump manager was walking around laughing and rubbing on the female servers, he never made it to my table. I wasted $30.00 on a terrible meal & service.

  • Pros: None- Used to be a nice place- Staff and management has ran into the ground!
  • Cons: It was the worst dining experience of my life. I eat out 4 times a week and rate McD higher.

Bahama Breeze is a phenominal place for dining! From the authentic foods to the festive environment anyone is sure to feel as if they are in the carribean. Some nights you may be graced with live carribean music from a band or solo artist. I highly suggest that if you are in Atlanta, you check out Bahama Breeze, you'll love it!

If lively atmosphere matters to you, this is the place.. The prices may be slightly high, but you have to remember you are paying for the atmosphere, not the food. It's always extremely busy and crowded. I agree with the other review, I don't understand why this restaurant has so much hype around it.

I have never understood the attraction of the Bahamas Breeze franchise. Real Bahamian food, like I ate on my last trip to Nassau, is not to be found here. Service is slow, assuming you can get a table after your 1.5 hour wait. Drinks are small and expensive. The appetizers were good and spicy (although I do not like conch), but the meals were overpriced. I fail to see the attraction of this place.

PROS: appetizers

CONS: prices, service, wait time, you name it

The Scene
Rambling, good-time restaurant is decorated with splashy tropical color white louvered windows and an extensive gift shop at the front door. No one seems to notice, though, primarily because they're parked at the long and heavily populated bar. Familiar American dishes--salads, soups, sandwiches and pizzas--are given a Caribbean spin at this popular suburban chain restaurant. Entrees, including the signature jerk chicken, are generously portioned.

Fine restaurant with good food and very good tropical drinks. Good for families as well. Upscale decor long waits on the weeend. Had a great pan seared tillapia one of the tastiest seafood dishes I have eaten. Nice presentation and good desserts.

  • Pros: Good food, Great Tropical drinks
  • Cons: Unpaved parking lot.

I love the fun, tropical atmosphere at Bahama Breeze. The palm trees, dark woods, wicker, firepit, high ceilings and live Island music all add to the casual fun in the large dining rooms. We met three other couples the night we enjoyed our Caribbean adventure at Bahama Breeze. Featuring lots of coconut and spice, the Island inspired menu is full of a deliciously unique variety. From Island Onion Rings (coconut-breaded with chili-horseradish and citrus mustard dipping sauces) to Tostones con Pollo (home-fried plantains topped with chicken, mushrooms and cheese) to Fire-Roasted Jerk Shrimp (simmered in garlic-thyme butter with warm Cuban bread), our appetizers were all incredible! Our party of 8 feasted on Cuban black bean soup with yellow rice, Angel Hair Pomodoro, Calypso Shrimp Linguine, Oak-Grilled Sirloin Palomilla, Jamaican Grilled Chicken Breast, Chicken Santiago - and all were scrumptious! For dessert we indulged in key lime pie, pia colada bread pudding, Dulce de Leche cheesecake and a wonderful chocolate and coffee mousse. There is a children's menu available, but don't waste this fabulous experience on them.
