WOW
by Jay04 at Citysearch
I came to the store to get service done to my watch. The service department treated me as a celebrity. They asked if I wanted my rings cleaned (for free) while I waited. I then proceed to look around until my watch recieved a new battery. I was asked by a sales person if they could help me find anything while I waited, I declined at the time. Another person approached me and asked if I wanted a refreshment while I waited. I then spotted something (among all the cases of brand lines) and a sales person showed me the peice. I feel in love with it and had to have it. I felt like I had a million dollars, when I really only spent a couple of hundred. My point is that no matter what you have, you will be treated as a rock star.
- Pros: Beautiful, Professional, Great Lines
Disappointment!

My husband & I wanted to shop for 2 pieces of jewelry by a particular designer; They were basically all the same designs (no variance in size or stone). Would have to be "special ordered." Clerk didn't know when new line would be out (even though Christmas is just around the corner) and I'm talking about spending BIG $$$$$ while a recession is going on. I would have been more appreciative & helpful of a potential sale than the young firl who showed us the jewelry. I had expected more.
- Pros: lots of designers
- Cons: Just so-so
The best watch store in the southeast

I have been chasing a stainless Daytona for about two years. It is the most sought after Rolex in production and I have never seen one in stock. I came in one day to see my good friend Jim and get a watch cleaned (which is free) that I didn't even but there. Jim said that he remembered that I had been looking for one and he had something special to show me. Low and behold an all stainless white face Daytona. I told him that I would take it. If you are going to buy a watch in Atlanta this is the only store in town. They offer significant discounts to their loyal customers and the service is unequaled.
- Pros: Fantastic Service, the best there is
- Cons: It is on Holcomb Bridge
Great customer service

I have not yet been fortunate enough to purchase a piece from Brown & Co, but they will be the next place I go for sure. I have recently moved to town and just needed some watches worked on, the service was as if I purchased my pieces with them. The representitives in the customer service area took excellent care to answer all of my questions and search out a peice I could not find anywhere else. I do not have the sales people experience but if they are anything close to the people I met, I know I will not be let down!
LOVE this place!!!

I recently got engaged!!!! And I got my ABSOLUTE FANTASY ring from Tacori. Here's the story...after he proposed, my SO told me the WHOLE story of everything he had to go through to get my ring. He did so much. He purchased a tacori band from Brown and Company and was searching for the perfect place to get the diamond set. Well, he had gone to many other jewelers who said that the prongs would have to be "shaved down" to "make the diamond fit", which he was terrified of. He finally decided to go back to Brown and Company where they told him that was unecessary and they did the most beautiful job I could have ever imagined. I would recommend them to anyone, especially if you like the family run businesses.
The Best Jeweler in Atlanta

We have had nothing but top notch service from day one. This place excells in customer service. They speak the truth about their diamonds, and they don't bash the competition. They always make you feel relaxed. They don't pressure you into anything. Best of all, they have some beautiful jewelry and diamonds. I recently upgraded my diamond there. We originally purchased our diamond from Brown back in 2004, and they gave us full credit for the amount we paid towards a new diamond. No one else will give you the same price.
Their customer service is below par

Their customer service is unsatisfactory in my experience once a problem arises. Last year my wife bought an expensive watch as a gift on a special occassion. The third time I wore the watch the stem fell out. Initially the sales person said watch had a saphire crystal when asked, although it is plastic and scratches easily; very misleading information . We would not have purchased the item had it been accurately described. When the stem fell out the watch was clearly under "warranty." Brown and Co. insisted on charging a significant amount for the repair part that failed though they did not charge for the labor and it took two and half months to turn around. Needless to say my wife and I were very disappointed with their service in this instance and are unlikely to shop there again..
- Pros: Convenience, selection
- Cons: Very full pricing, below par customer service
Very Average

I was not impressed with Brown and company. They had a boring selection and very few nice diamonds. I guess this store is OK if you are looking for standard stuff, but if you want a unique piece, this is not the place to go.
Bad Experience

A family run business. They are now into the generation of "Browns" that have had a 'silver' spoon in their mouth since birth. It shows. They do not accept constructive criticism and have very poor customer service. I would think that the demise of Browns is not far away since I am not the only person who feels this way in their reviews.
I for one will never shop there again.
LOVE THIS STORE!

I'm not a jewelry guy - I've never worn that much jewelry and therefore, typically don't buy much jewelry. About 2 years ago, my fiance took me to Brown and Co, and I was amazed. Everyone there was professional and friendly. (I guess I expected so much less from a high end jewelry store). On my second visit, they remembered my name along with a lot of the things we looked at the first time we were there. They made me feel like I was buying from family. Now I have a "favorites list" that includes a couple watches. I even did a little Christmas shopping there for the little lady. I might not be an expert on jewelry, but as a salesguy, I consider myself to be an expert in customer service. Brown and Company is the kind of store I would be proud to work for. I look forward to stopping by to see my friends there.
- Pros: Friendly Service
- Cons: My fiance loves this place!
