Best Japanese around
by zanguerra at Citysearch
If you're not a sushi fan, this place has the best katsu don in town. This is not some silly "steakhouse". The FOOD is the reason to go to Tanaka, not onion volcanoes. It's a tiny place, though. It can be difficult to get in with a large group.
Stay away from Tanaka.

If everyone discovers tanaka, it'll get crowded and my wife and I will have to wait to be seated. That will delay our enjoyment of a wonderful spicy scallop roll, and an excellent smoked salmon sashimi. We've been sampling sushi restaurants all around, and keep coming back to Tanaka.
freshest fish in town and real japanese dishes.

If you wanna try most famous rolls there try spicy tuna, super cruncy, spicy mexican, or tempura lobster roll. If you're real raw fish eater, try saba bou sushi (tradittional marineted mackeral sushi) or just ask Mr Tanaka to make chef's special plata. Also you can enjyoy cood food from kitchin which is hamachi kama(grilled yellow tail cheek), nabeyaki udon(noodle soup) or gomaae(spinach salad) I'm a japanese customor there and very happy w/their food and service. Oh! Don't forget cold sake too! :)
FANTASTIC!

I almost don't want to tell you how great this place is, as it is hard to find and not totally discovered by the masses. No circus-clown hibachi rice-throwing tricks here- this is strictly authentic and wonderful. Japanese customers order from menus in Japanese. Also the only place where I have been able to find my favorite spinach and sesame salad, gomaae. All the raw stuff is fantastic, but I admit I have a weakness for the lobster tempura roll.
- Pros: best sushi around, authentic, fantastic food
- Cons: wait
Great sushi

Intimate family atmosphere. Small quiet restaurant with consistent outstanding sushi served with the eye in mind. Reasonable prices and friendly service. You will go back over and over again.

Best sushi in town!

I am a sushi fanatic -- not a fake sushi fanatic who only enjoys California rolls, but a real lover of sashimi, nigiri, and pretty much anything sushi related. Although this restaurant is small in size, that only adds to its quaint, authentic Japanese atmosphere. Their sushi is always fresh and served like a piece of art. They serve other traditional japanese dishes, but I highly recommend anything from the sushi bar. The service at Tanaka is also excellent. This small, tucked-away jem of a restaurant is definatley worth the drive to Roswell.
