Delicious food
by AlexNew
I agree with some reviewers stating that the interior needs work and remodeling. It does look worn out. Service is nothing special. Not rude but could be better. But the food is really good. And that's why I've been going there for a year now for some 15-20 times. It is consistently delicious. Prices are really reasonable and definitely worth it.
- Pros: Great food; low prices
- Cons: Needs remodeling, worn out interior
Sushi OK. Rude Sushi Chef.
by lampworker
Nagoya Japanese Restaurant in Roswell, GA in my opinion is below average. It needs to be freshened up with new paint and carpet. Needs to be remodeled. I used to overlook all that until recently a sushi chef there made fun of my being overweight. I can overlook a restaurant needing to be remodeled, but I won't overlook rude service. I complained to the owners, and the Sushi Chef was not fired, and nothing was done. I got a delayed apology but that was about it.
Nagoya Roswell is owned by a Chinese ownership, and the family that owns it are quite nice people, yet their main sushi chef is another issue. If it were me, and one of my Sushi chef's made fun of someone being overweight, and my staff witnessed the fact, that sushi chef would be immediately fired. My feelings about Nagoya Roswell is bitter sweet, for the Chinese lady that owns the place is a really nice lady, and I really like her, yet her decision not to relieve that sushi chef has given me no other recourse but to do my business elsewhere.
If you want truly authentic Sushi go to Circle Sushi for it is Japanese owned and operated and they have really awesome fresh sushi!!! Also, try Sushi Nami in Alpharetta, for it too is Japanese owned and operated, and is truly awesome!!! Sushi Nami has ultra fresh sushi!!!
- Pros: Good price on food.
- Cons: Rude Sushi Chef
The Very Best Sushi in the greater Atlanta area!!
by flashfloodatl
I always have a had a great experience at Nagoya. we are big sushi fans (its the only thing we don't make at home) and after sampling many sushi restuants in the greater Atlanta area we have found that they are among the very best (tied with another). So with out a doubt they are highly recommended!!!
- Pros: Parking and Food
- Cons: Service ( just a little slack).
By far the best sushi!
by VB22
I have been to many sushi restaurants, and so far I think that Nagoya is one of the best ones. Their sushi is good, and there is a big variety. You can never go wrong with anything you take, and for those of you who don't eat raw fish they have plenty to choose from! They are usually busy on Fridays and Saturday and their service might be a bit slow, but that's understandable.
Reasonable Price but not great
by chappy_kawaii
Nagoya offers decent sushi for reasonable price. Unlike some restaurans that serves crappy sushi for cheap price, the quality of sushi at Nagoya is good. However, I just did not enjot the whole experience at this restaurant (the restaurant is not the cleanest place in town, atomospher/decor...) and also, some of the sushi chefs are not experienced enough to make good sushi. I can tell by the shape/firmness of the nigiri they make. The rice they used was way to overcooked and gross. \
But overall, if you want to eat sushi for resonable price and if you did not care too much about the quality and stomosphere, it is a good place to go!
- Pros: Price
- Cons: Amvience, Quality
Best Sushi all around!
by viktorial
I am a big fan of sushi, but nothing beats Nagoya. It is one of the best sushi places you can go to. The variety of their sushi is what I like the most, and anything you try you wont regret cause it will be good! The staff is always nice, even though sometimes a little slow. Overall its one of the best sushi restaurants, if you are ever in atlanta definitely visit it!!
Best Sushi in Atlanta!
by jvesce
At Nagoya you can't go wrong. The food is always fresh, the service is prompt and pleasureable and the atmosphere is phenomenal. On the weekends definetly get there earlier than later because it gets packed. They do sushi and hibachi.
Fantastic sushi!
by smtravoss
I have never had their hibachi, but their sushi is awesome. It is very fresh and they have an extensive menu of sushi rolls to choose from. The service is excellent.
Best Sushi in Town
by jmshahan
Love the service, always friendly staff. The hibachi show is great to watch, the food isn't as good. The sushi is always fresh and delicious. Only complaint there is that the rolls can sometimes be too large. This restaurant is HIGHLY recommended.
- Pros: Best sushi in North Atlanta
- Cons: Parking can be difficult on weekend evenings.

I've been going here for over 10 years and it is by far the best sushi ever...Nagoya is family owned and very traditional, it's not a chain restaurant so the food is very authentic. They are opened for lunch M-F and pretty busy on F,S,Su, and M nights. If your on a budget go to Nagoya for lunch because it's cheaper.
They offer fresh sashimi and teppan style (where they cook in front of you) for those who don't eat sushi. I could eat here 24/7!
Highly recommended. I introduced sushi to my boyfriend and now it's his favorite restaurant.
- Pros: Good parking, Friendly staff, Moderatly priced
- Cons: Crowded on weekends
