I chose Mittie's for a Mother's Day brunch for two. One of the few places I hadn't yet tried in the Roswell Square area and thought a tea room would be a sweet idea for Mother's Day. The management is ungracious (if not down right rude) towards patrons - you'd think they'd never dealt with a lunch rush before. The food isn't anything special and the establishment not particularly charming. My recommendations to their mgmt follow: 1. If staff is unable to greet a caller when answering the phone, then they shouldn't answer. If someone is calling to make a reservation is it rude to not acknowledge them and expect them to listen to you finish up another side-bar conversation before saying "hello". 2. If staff feels they have to yell into the phone or repeatedly tell callers to "speak up", turn the the music down. 3. Remove one of the two-top tables along the bench. While I expect most establishments in this area to be quaint and cozy, this place packs you in to the point I was constantly being bumped by the waitstaff and patrons walking past. Perhaps if you're seated at a stand alone table for 4 or more along the perimeter you'd have more room, but the bench tables are ridiculous...you might as well be dining with the people sitting next to you. 4. If a party arrives without a reservation, a calm, friendly "we don't have any tables available, but you may dine outside if you'd like or we can put you on the list" is an appropriate response. An eye roll and a put upon "shoot, well I'll see if I can find something" or a "geez, this is a bad time" is not, especially from the manager. Patrons are your livelihood. Be courteous and learn to deal with the stress of a rush time. 5. The tea was good (though the do-it-yourself press seemed a little odd) and the quiche was tasty, but much of the french toast was soggy, not cooked through, and inedible. 6. Tea time shouldn't be rushed

Pros: Good tea, location

Cons: unprofessional mgmt, crowded, ambience not charming
