I'll admit that I don't really care for Raging Burrito. In fact, I agree with some of the other posters who complain about soggy burritos and strange crunches and flavors in the dishes. But it's popular, so leave well enough alone, I've always thought. But I have to say that I actually found it offensive, in reading many of these posts, that the owners seem to only respond to happy, positive comments. While I thought the "screaming" post in ALL CAPS was over the top, I'm actually really horrified that the owners would jump in and say something to the effect of, Oh that never happened and must have been written by a competing restaurant. (!!!!!) Rather than smile and nod at the pretty comments here, why not respond to the unhappy clients in the same fashion? The owner comments made me realize that my unhappiness in dining here previously was truly a "top-down" issue. I'm blown away by the blase attitude.
Pros: No one's making me go there
Cons: I'd prefer a different restaurant in this location

Raging burrito has my favorite tacos(baja fish is my favorite) and the best margaritas and patio in town. This is what my wife and I look for in casual dining. Great food with friendly service at a good price, The relaxed garden patio makes raging burrito a place I miss the most in atlanta(actually decatur) when I am on my regular travels for business.
Pros: festive patio, huge menu
Cons: very busy on fri nights

I was just reading the reviewer below and saw the person, who wrote its history of not liking any where he or she has eaten. I happen to be of the exact opposite opinion of you. Raging Burrito is my families favorite casual restaurant in Atlanta. We have been going since they opened in decatur in 1999.It has excellent service and strong margaritas and alot of good beers on tap. I cannot get enough of their fish tacos!! I also enjoy all the other decatur places adecaturite dislikes so intensely. If the person hates that all the decatur families go out on friday night why not go eat in another part of town on that night or just consider moving. I have lived in decatur for 15 years and I love it. Go eat at all the places this person hates. They are all great! I would avoid friday nights though because the kids are let loose to run wild around all of these resturants.
Pros: validated parking, the best food and drinks
Cons: there needs to be a location downtown near my work

Why even use the word burrito in the name? There's nothing even remotely Mexican about this establishment. This place does WRAPS, and they're substandard at best. Even the posters who give Raging Burrito high marks note that its burritos are "watery." Indeed. Soggy burritos with bland steamed tortillas and huge fistfuls of romaine lettuce thrown into every dish, creating a bizarre crunchy contrast to the rest of the meal, which is falling apart in the hands. And EVERYTHING, from the burritos to the salsa, has a strange twinge of cucumber in it. Servers are young, inexperienced, and if not rushed, just don't have enough knowledge to serve customers to an even adequate standard. My only exception to this comment is toward another poster, who was aggreviated that a waitress didn't properly divide checks for what was obviously a large party. To that poster, I say that not all restaurant computers are designed to handle this type of request. And most restaurants in Decatur refuse to do seperate checks, since so many families and older people come in as large parties and expect the entire restaurant to revolve around that one table. And that's just not going to happen. If it took you 45 min to get your divided checks (which I doubt) then the system at Raging Burrito is clearly not designed to accommodate your request. Yes, the food is terrible and service spotty, but I suspect that you made a bad night much, much worse.
Pros: None
Cons: All

We have been enjoying Raging Burrito's tasty, unique burritos since they opened in 1996 or it may have been early 97. I just found out Raging Burrito now has Baja Fish tacos and we went to try them last night and we think they are amazing. We also tried their new portobello fajita and shredded beef tacos which we also loved. We had friendly service on their large garden back patio. The patio has a beautiful, huge mural of the mona lisa drinking a Margarita. My wife was surprised by how many beers they had on draft.(16 I think it was on tap) She ended up choosing a Sweetwater 420 Ale. The server told us their 5 Sweetwater beers on tap are 2.75 a pint on Mon to Wed.(Great Deal we will return soon for!) I had the best Texas Margarita I have had in many years. It had the perfect mix of sour and not too sweet. We had our first night out without our children in a while and we were very glad to go back to Raging Burrito after not going for a while. We will return soon to try the other Tacos and try some other Sweetwaters on special.
Pros: Free validated parking, Great tacos,16 beers on Tap, Great decor and huge patio
Cons: I now live in Macon so I can only make it up every few weeks to visit and eat at RagingB

Last night was my first visit to the Raging Burrito, I ordered the fish and shredded beef taco platter and I have to say that they were by far the best tacos that I've ever had! Not bland like most of the tacos of other restaurants that I have tried, these were unique and full of flavor. My margarita was perfect too, not too sweet or watered down tasting, I used to be a bartender so I'm really picky. The service was also excellent, our server was very friendly and efficient. Over all a great experience, I will definitely be back!
Pros: great patio

JUST A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO WE HAD A MOMS AND SONS NIGHT OUT. THE MOMS WERE IN SEARCH OF THE BEST MARGARITAS IN DECATUR AND THE SONS WANTED GOOD MEXICAN FOOD. OUR ONLINE SEARCH BROUGHT UP TWO SELECTIONS AND IN HINDSIGHT WE MADE A VERY , VERY POOR SELECTION.. OUR FIRST CLUE WAS THAT CHIPS AND SALSA WERE NOT COMPLIMENTARY. SO WE ORDERED CHIPS AND DIPS AND WERE GIVEN A PARTIALLY FILLED BASKET OF COLD CHIPS. NEXT WE ORDERED DRINKS AND AS USUAL WE ALWAYS ORDER PREMIUM TEQUILA. WELL I KNOW MY TEQUILA AND THIS TEXAS MARGARITA WAS WATERED DOWN MARGARITA FROM HELL. WE LEFT THERE WITH HEADACHES AND WE DID NOT EVEN FINISH THE DRINKS. WE ORDERED BURRITOS AND SALADS. OH GOD WHAT A DISASTER. HOW ABOUT SALADS WITHOUT LETTUCE. SOGGY BURRITO WRAPS, TASTELESS FILLINGS, CRUNCHY AND COLD SHRIMP IN MY BURRITO. THE FOOD WAS SO GROSS THAT WE COULD NOT EAT IT. WE WERE SURE THAT OUR FOOD SERVER WAS AWARE OF THIS BECAUSE SHE DID NOT VIIST OUR TABLE UNTIL TIME TO PRESENT THE CHECK FOR $91.00. WE LEFT THE RESTAURANT TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED AND HUNGRY. NOW WE KNOW WHY THE BURRITO'S RAGING........IT'S MAD AS HELL !
Pros: GOOD LOCATION
Cons: YOU PAY FOR PARKING

Ate at Raging Burrito for the first time last night with my friends and I have to say, we totally loved it. the Patio was packed, the bar was packed, and we know why. We started off with an appetizer trio, and the guacamole was by far the best I've ever had. Our waitress talked us into trying the vegetarian chili con queso and I'm hooked - had to order another one. I had a Horney Margarita that was off the chain, and a Bangkok burrito - amazing! My friend had the 3 taco plate with one fish, one beef, and the fajita veggie taco and he said each one was delicious. My other friend built her own Monster Quesadilla with Jerk-seasoned tofu, portabello mushrooms, and sundried tomatoes. I'm not a vegetarian by any stretch of the imagination, but I tried a bite and loved it! It was wonderful. Our waitress was busy, every seat on the patio was full, and she still did an amazing job attending to our needs - fast, friendly, and efficient - never saw anyone stop moving for a minute. They were on the ball! Now that the construction in the Decatur Square is done and the weather is beautiful, we will back soon for sure to try more delicious food and to check out some of the drink specials. We may even come back this Thursday to check out team trivia! I love this place!
Pros: great food, efficient and friendly service
Cons: So many choices!!! I'll have to eat here every day for 5 years to try all of the possibilities!
