A lot for the buck! by Shanda D. at InsiderPages

If you are watching your wallet this is the place to eat. The price is great and the food isn't bad either. At lunch time this place is always crowded. I wish they'd work on their mac-n-cheese a little though.
Excellent comfort/soul food joint

No-frills review for a no-frills Southern joint - Paid $5 for three huge planks o' tilapia, collard greens, macaroni and cheese, cornbread and bottomless cup o' soda. Served up quick, hot and fresh, cafeteria-style. Great food (they also have baked chicken, meatloaf, fried pork chops and BBQ pork, as well as various sides) and efficient service. They also have a terrific marketing ploy in that you'll reek of Donnie's for the rest of the day after eating there, so you'll invariably have to explain to friends and co-workers where you went for lunch.
- Pros: Great value, Quick service
