I was first introduced to Birdi's when a friend of mine worked there. I went to visit her at work one night and I was hooked. Their fried green tomatoes are the best appetizer on the planet. I get them every time I go. I've never had better anywhere and I was raised in the south. The drinks are a great value. Most places in Atlanta charge $10-$12 for a martini, while Birdi's charges $8-$10 and sometimes a $6 special martini. I love to have a few drinks and relax with some friends there. Also if you decide to hang around for a while, they won't push you leave. I would absolutely recommend it to someone looking for great food and drink that's quick and convenient.
Pros: Great drinks!
Cons: Live music can be bothersome...

We needed something close, affordable and quick. Birdi's fit all three requirements. The artichoke dip with pita chips was a great starter followed by chicken pasta as an entree. *NOTE* The pasta is loaded with spinach, so if you're not a fan order something else. A French martini at the end of a long work day is the perfect dessert. (and the menu accurately warns: "Drinkers Beware".)

i love calamari an theirs is the BEST i have ever had. not chewy at all and a wonderful light batter. also, if you are a fan of oysters then order a dozen of each kind they have. i promise you won't be disappointed. it is a great place to have a a few drinks and dinner with a group of friends or for a fun date. the staff is super friendly but not overbearing. i even enjoyed the music. i will be back again and again.
