Love the Alpharetta location
by GMD at Citysearch
I have been to the alpharetta location many times and love it. April gives the BEST massages ever. I see Liliya to have my eyebrows waxed and eyelashes tinted. She does such as great job. I will not let anyone else touch my eyebrows. Job well done Alpharetta location.
- Pros: professional staff, clean
are they going broke

I've been going to Spa Sydell for years. I love my facialist, but I'm considering going to another spa because they HAVE NO PRODUCTS! They have a really great exfoliater and they've been out of it for MONTHS. They don't even have cleansers. What's so funny is that my facialist used to be a heavy product pusher, but even she knows that there isn't much to buy. I seriously doubt that there will be an August sale-unless they're selling candles.
Looks like the recession is kicking their butts. I warn all customers, DON'T PURCHASE A SERIES!!! Looks like this spa is going down.
Love the facials though.
- Pros: near my home
- Cons: no products, high prices, NO PRODUCTS!!!!!

I live in LA but I'm from Roswell. Whenever I am home, my Mom and I always back a point at coming to this spa. I literally have experienced the best massage of my life with Jayson and my skin always glows after a facial from Liliya. My Mom loved her facial with Jo and I forget the name of her masseuse but she must have had some strong hands to make my Mom as relaxed as she was after our last visit. I've read some of the negative reviews about the service and I honestly could not disagree more! Those people must have been in a bad mood that day or something because I have never received anything but pleasantness from the staff here. Can't recommend it enough, this is an amazing location of this already fantastic spa chain.
- Pros: Talented Staff, Polite Service, Clean and Convenient

I have been to Spa Sydell many times to get facials, microdermabrasions, and a spray tan. The staff member that I have seen the most is Jo. She is amazing. She is super nice and is very knowledgeable in her field. I would recommend her to everyone.
- Pros: Best facials
- Cons: nothing :)

I will not go to another other spa! I see Yelena for waxing and lash tinting. She is by far the greatest!!! Once you visit her, you will never change!! For massages, I am open as I have had great experiences with everyone there. Melanie (Director) is always on hand and very helpful!! You can't go wrong here!
- Pros: Staff , location
Loved my massage!
by kellynorris at Citysearch
I wanted to surprise my mother for her birthday so I made arrangements with the manager, Melanie, for us to enjoy two massages - basically a couple’s massage! HA. I picked mom up and never told her where we were going. She was ecstatic when I pulled into the Spa Sydell parking lot! We were then greeted and whisked off to put on our cotton robes! Both massage therapists were excellent! I get massages on average about once per month and this is definitely on my list of top three best massages ever! Go see her! I also highly recommend it for your mom’s bday too, it made her day!
- Pros: Friendly, professional staff, quiet and relaxing
- Cons: I can't go there every week like I wish!
Avoid Spa Sydell Alpharetta!
by Setien77 at Citysearch
Please avoid Spa Sydell Alpharetta at all costs!
My first complaint is that the staff is typically unfriendly and is often too consumed by personal issues to acknowledge clients.
I can't tell you all how many times I've had to wait 15-20 minutes to be seen. No one ever feels the need to offer an apology or a reason for the tardiness.
I'm no longer a Spa Sydell client; however, for several months I did go to the Alpharetta location for brow waxes. On several occasions, my technician told me how difficult my eyebrows were to shape.
I'm sorry, but isn't it the job of a Spa Sydell technician to know how to shape eyebrows? And is it possible to relax during a visit without having to decline the purchase of various Spa Sydell products?
I've gotten better eyebrow waxes at the local nail salon on the corner! Avoid this place!
- Pros: Many Locations
- Cons: Incompetent Staff

Spa Sydell has been sold to IN SPA which is located in Washington state . They are a lower end spa, kind of like massage envy. Word is they will not accept gift certificates bought under the name of SPA SYDELL . Not sure what the new name of the company will be or what other changes are to come. Ladies and gentlemen use your gift certificates as soon as possible.
Prepare for the Upsell

It started off with the massage therapist kindly offering me an upgrade to my service. I respectfully declined but that didnt' stop him from then trying to sell me 2 different products during and at the end of the massage. He wasn't giving up. I then got dressed to go to the locker room to get undressed to have my facial?? The locker room was disappointing and the robes, gowns and shoes were old and worn out. Before my facial started the young lady suggested that I upgrade my $90 service for a mere $35. I declined that as well. After the facial (which was a waste of time and money) she strongly recommended I purchase the $55 acne treatment. She was kind enough to leave the product at the front desk where the massage therapist left some bath salts for me as well. Upon check out the receptionists looked at each other in disbelief when I chose NOT to purchase any of their products. There are way too many spas in the area to bother with this one. Their "Half Day" of beauty is more sales pitches than pampering.
- Pros: Great Massage
- Cons: Terrible facial, old very used robes & shoes
