We love this place. The Best part of the experience was to get seated by the huge garage window. Open Air...Great...The worst part was they were out of Lamb tenderloin which we had several times before and actually that was why we were there for this time. I decided to go for Lam burger and my wife had Tenderloin Kebob. They both were absolutely amazing. We were offered small salad for 2.29 and we had Turkish and Caprice Salad. Turkish salad was great and I did not care for the Caprice Salad but my wife loved it. There is great wine list and Martini list but we went for their Guava and Mango Mojito. The server said that they make the syrup in the house and they were quite nice. Everyone around us seemed to enjoy their experience as well. One thing about this place is it is very intimate and you get to talk to other people. Very neighborhood kind of feeling. Well ,the service was also exceptional. We eat out a lot and we lived in Greece for nine years experiencing Mediterranean cuisine all around Europe. We defiantly recommend Gilberts to everybody.
Pros: Great Food, Service

Unless you are going to get drinks, this isn't really the place to get a decent Mediterranean cuisine. Nice hangout, other than that, nothing spectacular.

Took an out of town guest to this place and she really enjoyed it. Service was prompt, professional and personable... no attitude or rushing. The food was great as I ordered the salmon, mushroom soup and a tiramisu martini. Everyone around us seemed to be enjoying their food as well. The ambiance is very eclectic but blends well with the area... nothing too gaudy or too cheapy. Looking for a neat little place with great food and a relaxing but fun atmosphere? This is it.
Pros: Great food, great service, laid-back atmosphere
Cons: A little pricey ($9 for a specialty martini), but worth it

The food was wonderful and the service was also very good. I think there was a birthday party of some sort going on at the bar while we were there but it wasn't distracting. I liked the level of lighting and all the members of my group seemed to enjoy their dishes as well. Even started a random conversation with the two guys next to us....they seemed to like their food too!
Pros: Food, location, atmosphere
Cons: A little small

We tried Gilberts last sunday night, not realizing it was karoke night!!! very loud, but very good!!! there was one guy dancing around the tables to michael jackson, and another guy belting out a soprano ballad! it sounds strange, but was actually a lot of fun. the food was pretty good, though the tables were tight---just enough room for our 2 plates and nothing more. The service at Gilberts was very attentive. we got our meals quickly, and the waitress was pleasant. my favorite was the pear fennel salad----delicious!! be warned though, if you are not "open" to alternative lifestyles, you may want to dine elsewhere.
Pros: Fun people, great kareoke
Cons: very small

i like this place for the great food and reasonable prices. my favorites: zorba sampler platter, almond tilapia, lamb tenderloin and baklava. lately we started hanging out after dinner and discovered that place becomes a major bar/club scene after dinner. great scene with mixed crowd, diverse crowd. it gets really crazy on sundays after 5pm or so with karaoke, great singers (not me) and great energy! i would recommend this place because you feel that you are appreciated. Oh the music is really classy too.
Pros: Great value, great food and ambiance, nice late night bar scene

The service was good. The server was courteous and prompt to help. The decoration really helped the ambience. The food was good and very affordable. I had one of the best panini ever and I liked the humus. I had to wait quite a bit for our food, even though there were very few people in the place. The ambience was broken because of the loud conversation among the waiters as well. The place is perfect for a friends gathering but maybe a bit too loud for a romantic dinner.
Pros: Great food, great prize, nice ambience
Cons: Place can get loud

The Medit. food was good and the waiter was wonderful but the parking situation would probably lead me somewhere else next time. But there brunch is amazing!!!! I cannot rave enough about it. One of my favorite brunch spots in Atlanta!
Pros: Service
Cons: Parking

One word: awesome! I was looking for something new and original on saturday evening, as a french amateur of good food, I came up with the idea to find out some mediterranean food ... Well here it is :) Just the little restaurant I was looking for: atmosphere is great, service over sympathetic and the menu made me hungrier than when I came throught the door! Men it's been more than two years I haven't eaten a Paella, that was simply delightful! I've eaten 75% of it, and it can easily feed 3 to 4 persons !! Amazing! I can't wait to go back and taste the rest of the menu! This small cafe has another fan!! ;)
Pros: Ambience, service, menu
Cons: parking might be a problem on week-end but I don't think it's a major cons anyway.

My partner and I recently met at Gilbert's for Sunday Brunch, before going across the street to Piedmont Park and The Dogwood Festival. A group of about ten of us met, and had a wonderful time at this cozy little cafe. For just $10.95, we had a very tasty meal of all-you care-to eat. Simply delightful, our personal favorites were Cheese Grits, Grilled Cheese w/bacon, and the Western Omlette. Very easy service-staff, excellent drinks. This made the Dogwwod Festival a very special event. Can't wait to try their dinner menu. Gilbert's All You Can Eat Sunday Brunch for $10.99 is killer!
Pros: Great Midtown Location, Yummy Brunch & Drinks!
Cons: None!
