Even though I love jeans of all kind... blue genes just doesn't suit me. The prices here are more expensive than the department stores! It's a bit odd, I'd rather spend my money at Bloomingdales or something rather than BG where the sales associates don't even pay attention to you...
Pros: clothes
Cons: price, no attention

Upon my first visit to Blue Genes I was greeted and fitted. Sizes are so different these days and the staff seemed to know exactly what would fit me perfectly. They were so helpful I felt like I had my own personal stylist. The prices weren't cheap but not overpriced, especially for items that you simply can't find anywhere else. I live in L.A otherwise I would shop there all the time - Blue Genes please open a store in L.A.!!! Also I just found out about there online shop - shopbluegenes - which is almost just as good as the real thing! 5 stars to Blue Genes!
Pros: Best store
Cons: Not in L.A.

I have heard so much about BG and decided I was going to splurge on a shopping spree. When I entered the store no one greeted me, just stares so I looked around for a couple of minutes giving these girls a couple of minutes to finish up their convo and pay me some attention but NO! Therefore I left and spent my money some other place. Thanks A lot!
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Associates and Owners

I was in the boutique last week shopping for a gift for a girlfriend. First of all I wasn't greeted or approached one of the associates did look at me and then continued with her conversation about some liquid diet! (curly hair). I own a store front in DC. and this kind of attitude will not make happy customers or generate business. Needless to say I took my money to Inter-mix and spent $1,200. I won't recommend Blue Genes to my girlfriends!

This is the best place to go for a great pair of designer jeans! They have every brand you can think of here and carry all sizes. It is also convenient to Lenox Mall and Phipps if you are shopping in Buckhead.
Pros: quality
Cons: price

I had always heard that Blue Genes was the best shopping in Atlanta. I recently ventured in for the first time and am in love with the place. The denim wall is very intimidating if you don't know what you're looking for (which I didn't), but the staff couldn't have been more helpful. One of the girls who works there came over and asked if I needed help, and I told her what I thought I wanted. She took it from there. She brought me several different jeans, and I didn't have to do any searching at all. I received complete personal attention, and loved it! Don't be afraid to ask for help...these girl's know their stuff. I thought there was no way someone could know how every jean in that store fits (there are millions), but the girl who helped me did! Every jean I asked about, she had an answer for. She told me how they fit, what body type looked best in it, etc. This was everything I could have hoped for in a denim store. We all know how hard it can be to find the perfect pair of jeans, and thanks to Blue Genes, I found 2!
Pros: personal attention, hard to find lines

I am from LA and have been to my fair share of trendy boutiques and have always been treated great. The associates at Blue Genes, however, need a lesson in customer service. When I walked in I got a look up and down by one associate that was like "what are you doing in my store?" The girl that was ringing me up was talking to the the other associate about what she was going to do for lunch, blah, blah, blah and then a regular customer walked in and my transaction was completely haulted. Umm HELLO I was standing in front of her with my money in my hand and was treated like " You can wait". They were also talking about how much stuff they had just bought and how expensive it was. So tacky. How much money could they possibly be making, they are working retail? The bottom line is the associates are stuck up girls and I will never ever shop there again.
Pros: Location
Cons: Horrible service

I moved to Atlanta about 2 years ago and have been a loyal customer at blue genes for about a year and a half. It really upsets me to read reviews like some of the ones below. Whenever I go into Blue Genes everybody is eager to help and very friendly. I recommend this store to any fashionable friends and anyone I meet that has a hard time with jeans or a specific outfit.
Pros: customer service, good parking, merchandise
Cons: crowded on saturdays

Based on the poor quality of their customer service, this store must think that they have a monopoly on the sale of premium jeans! I received a pair of jeans as a gift, but they were the wrong style, so I brought them back. It took 1 month for them to get the pair in that I wanted and they would not give me my money back! All the while, they were very non-apologetic and portrayed an arrogant attitude. Maybe they do not realize that a salesperson is a salesperson whether you work at the GAP or at Blue Genes. The only thing that would encourage me to pay their prices would be excellent customer service, so I would NEVER return!
Pros: Parking
Cons: Customer Service, Expensive, Store Hours

I have to agree with the reviews written about customer service. I had been in a couple of times, and totally ignored. I went in a final time and was lucky to be approached by a great salesperson. If it wasn't for her, I never would have gone back after that visit. I will say that I have gone in once or twice when she has not been there, and must have had on an invisible suit...totally ignored! Great store, but like another review said, a retail salesperson is just that, nothing more, so get over it.
Pros: great jeans, good variety
Cons: service
